Hello GUNETWORKERS. I'm completely new here. I've only made a few posts, but I must say from the short amount of time I've been here I can tell a good majority of you are incredibly talented. Some others, such as myself, don't have the skill set to port models or mods or completely make anything from scratch. My knowledge isn't the slightest extensive, but it still intrigues me. I'm more so interested in all of you. What brought you all here and how the heck are you guys soooo good?

Welcome LRC. Quick combo (intro/response):
I came here because of modding Fallout and watching Alchestbreach. I began modding because of unemployment and a useless bachelor's in Psychology. (P.S. Psychology is a good profession, but you need more than a bachelor's to be considered for anything more than waiting tables.) After a year of feeling useless and modding games in my free time, I'm a Computer Science student. Note: I mostly just do quests and voice work.
Wish I had more time for modding these days but hey, whatya gonna do?
Anyway, welcome! Hope to hear more from you.

@"onowrouzi" I personally am looking into starting college soon and pursuing computer engineering or Information Technology. Who knows? Maybe after I get a lot more comfortable with computers will I get into some modding. By the way, you were never useless. I've never known a psychology major who was "useless."

@LRC20 Welcome to the GUN Network. One thing to consider is the telecommunications industry is in desperate need of people to work in the RF Field name in Fiber Optics, Copper, and Wireless technologies. If you haven't considered it, look into Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
I myself am close to finishing my associates degree in Telecom and there are many Tech opportunities out there. However later down the road I might pursue engineering.
As far as modding, porting and texturing isn't the only thing to it. Some of the greatest mods were done without even touching Photoshop. You'll find your niche!
Once again Welcome to GUN, be sure to check out the FAQ if you haven't already!

Hello LRC. Welcome. I'm fairly new too. Also have an interest in possibly modding in the near future, but not familiar with the process quite yet. Found GUN by a lucky coincidence. A friendly and fun bunch here. Have fun.

New here myself, though I have some skill with modeling and animations, I am a writer. I prefer to create with words, which sadly doesn't help much with modding... S.S.

@LRC20 Hello & welcome! Got the same dilemna as yours & be wanting to make ports myself but never did get around to it. Maybe sometime soon but right now I'm quite happy in playing the more polished creations of the established modders. Anyway, hope you fun while you're here & hope you do get to learn the porting stuff.
