so i was reading about this player who is exploring underwater and somehow spending 30 hours in it so it kicked me why we never had an underwater battle like imagine that at Hoover Dan or make a future DLC (i know im getting annoying with this dlc but bare with me) like submarine from the prewar but i have no idea how they would've survived but for everything that we cant almost explain we;ll say the BOS saved some and like that the Enclave attacked or you found their hidden base cuz underwater bunker makes sense right? so what do you think?

I know what you mean, like in arma 3 you can use weapons designed to be used underwater which was pretty cool, guess they never thought about it or couldn't do it

I recall TES Oblivion had underwater combat & it was decent. I'm not sure if Morrowind had it too though as I haven't played it yet.. BUT.. Underwater combat should've been made possible in all Bethesda open world RPG games that came after Oblivion, not just Fallout 4.

Underwater combat would be really cool to see implemented. Would love to fight giant killer sea monsters, discover underwater bases. so many ideas!

Underwater combat to me sounds like it would be fun in theory and on paper, but in practise, it would probably prove tedious more than anything.

Game has unused harpoon gun and there are some concepts of a giant squid. Prepare to have fun in the future Institute Sealab DLC.

Having something like this would definitely be a cool scene to be a part of in-game:
Maybe a DLC where the submarine is restored to working condition and you have a faction battle in, say, invading a oil rig, enemy ship or even some kind of underwater base?

Underwater combat in Oblivion most likely due to Argonians. Maybe they put it in for FO4 after they make a playable rad-lobster thingy

That statement makes little sense, considering that argonians are a playable race in skyrim as-well, but as I'm sure you know, there is no underwater combat there either.
That's because Bethesda still cared when they made Oblivion. Skyrim Argonians couldn't even breathe underwater. They don't care about those small details anymore as long as they think it won't make them a quick buck, unfortunately.

That would be pretty cool if there was any kind of underwater battles but you know there is a submarine in Fallout 4 maybe they will do something with that but I'm not sure cause I have not played the quest.
Oblivion did have underwater combat. I'm certain with melee & using magic spells but not quite sure about bow attacks. I also recall clearly that underwater melee attacks worked for both 1handed & 2handed weapons. Everything had 3rd person combat swimming animation. The underwater combat in Oblivion was warranted because there were actually quite a number of pesky enemy underwater encounters that you had to deal with without surfacing for a time (like submerged caves.) & by the way, I played as an imperial so underwater combat wasn't exclusive to argonians. Waterbreathing spell was a must in fully submerged quests.
Oblivion is an older Bethesda game but it did have underwater combat. Really makes you wonder why the newer games that came after it had no such option included.

I like the idea of a DLC. If it can be a H.P. Lovecraft story like Innsmouth or a Cthulhu type monster you have to deal with and have to go under water. Perhaps a underwater city of some type.
