| If you have any .esp mods, you have to enable them manually. You have to go into appdata/local, look for fallout 4 folder, and type in your esp names in the "plugins" document. Make sure to check the document as "read only" after you are done. _________________ http://z0r.de/?id=293

| New Beta update screwed something up wich disables the Data (plugin) option and even when enabled with NMM they get disabled when launching the game. Just take off the Beta option and it should work. (Activating plugins and such) _________________ |

| The first time I typed out the information in the INI files I missed a comma after the word TEXTURES\ and nothing worked. I had to double check everything and luckily it was easy to identify. It's so easy to make one little mistake and end up with no working mods.

| With NMM version 0.61.0 it does most of that work for you. The only thing it doesn't do is add the TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, etc to the ini file so you'll have to ensure you enter that in manually. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

| There is a new Beta patch out today. I do not know if it fixes mods being disabled when the game is run. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

| I had this problem but running the game with the latest version of F4SE seemed to clear everything up. |

| did u set the ini's to read only after changing them,, cause the game can reset them, thus not allowing your mods to work

| Version 0.61.3 out and it fixes mods being disabled at launch. I'm using it right now and it works as intended. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

| use a mods manager like NMM or FO4MM then active those mods, after that don't run the game through the launcher, launch it through .exe file. it worked for me with the 1.2 patch |

| So I just recently got the latest 1.2 update that totally taken off the default launcher's plugins display. It's probably better to use a mod manager but just mentioning that it can still work without having to use one. The game can still read mods (plugin types & replacer types) by having these tweaks:
Mark the plugins.txt as read only (properties.) C (your main drive) > Users > "your user name" > Appdata > Local > Fallout4 > plugins.txt
Fallout4Prefs.ini (Documents > My Games > Fallout4): bEnableFileSelection=1
Fallout4.ini (Documents > My Games > Fallout4): sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\
To note: the game will still read mods even when using the Fallout4Launcher.exe but if you're gonna add new mods that comes with plugins (esp/esm) - there's just the hassle of manually editing the plugins.txt file (Appdata folder) by copying/pasting the newly added mod plugin names. |

| I've been using the latest alpha (2) of ModOrganizer and have not had any problems with the mods. _________________ - KCCO

| @rgordonjr Is the alpha 2 running fine even with big texture replacers, like Optimized Vanilla? Previously tested a previous version (alpha 1, I think) but had a bunch of ctds when using big texture replacers. Care to share the alpha 2 link? Not sure where the link is exactly in Tannin's github page. |

I actually haven't tried it with large overhauls. I've used a few of the body mods and several replacers (paintings, etc) and the only issue I have seen (not related to the local saves, etc) is the mod refresh does't always kick in when removing graphics mods. I wind up having to restart MO for it to refresh properly. The link to the releases is https://github.com/TanninOne/modorganizer/releases If anything I'd like to get the textures a bit higher in resolution.. | @rgordonjr Thanks for sharing more info & the link. As for environment texture replacers.. I first used: Vivid Fallout - Landscapes - 2k by Hein84 & overwrote it with: Commonwealth HQ Landscape Overhaul WIP by Printerkop. As for skin textures.. this is the one I liked so far but it's a nude reskin: Simple Natural Textures for Player and Raiders by Justice - has good balance (no uneven colors), good skin design & comes with both face & torso textures. Works good with BUSTY by tonicmole and UltimateZero. Other texture replacers I used are Millenia's weapon retextures & Improved Map with Visible Roads by mm137. I also use VOGUE ENB - Realism by GameVogue - removes a whole lot of that "cartoony" effect of the looks of characters. |
