I know there are about 2 weeks till they're in full gear
but a lot of nations around the world celebrate Saint Nicholas/Nikolaos the Wonderworker today. It's originally a pagan celebration, but people mostly leave candy and fruit in each other's boots in the morning to celebrate the winter holidays beginning. So he's like Santa Claus's younger, poorer cousin or something haha  Laugh Out Loud

Anyway, I don't mean to bring up mythology and historical accuracy or ANY type of religious discussion here. The tradition has transformed into a bonding experience for families and friends, and I like to regard the GUNetwork community as one big happy family!
So to celebrate together I've implemented the Holiday decoration setup!
Colors! Yay! Joy Dance

It's still tweakable and we could sure use some more related banners and user online images, so if you feel inspired, you should submit your own creations here:
https://www.gunetwork.org/t4461p555-official-gunetwork-graphical-enhancement#158662

Any further decoration suggestions are welcomed!

Have a wonderful holiday season! Hugging

I like the green but perhaps it could be balanced out with some red and white... perhaps candy canes?

On the sides those are clearly firs, but some decorations wouldn't hurt. Perhaps make it exciting and put Krampus in as well!

I'm not sure I seen one, but I could be wrong, but was there site graphics for Hanukkah? That's about the only holiday I bother observing these days still, despite no longer being religious.

We try not involve religious symbolism in the holiday decorum.
We have no "baby jesus" or "the 3 mages".
We have no "holy spirit" hovering over a manger.

Similarly, what we do have are not in fact found in the Bible:
There were no pine or fir trees in the middle of the desert
where Jesus was born, let alone snow or snowflakes.
There were no colorful gifts, candy, ribbons or crystal globes as decoration in the manger,
and lastly, the actual birth was initially speculated to be either around September or February,
until an archbishop declared it to be in December so that it can match the Winter Solstice.

So you see, we don't actually have any religious symbolism.

It's a time to share with family, to be kind and generous, giving and forgiving.
Has no relevance of the divine, but of human nature and relationships.

I trust we can all find some of that in us, regardless of creed!

Ok, was just wondering is all. I observe Hanukkah still despite being non-religious, but in the way you described Christmas. I don't observe it for religious reasons at all. Still, kinda wish for a little representation, but I'm not going to push it.
