| I guess I like the typical few DLCs that offer new areas and new content. The game is large enough in my own personal opinion. Sadly a lot of games that did offer the few DLCs with a decent amount of content are slimming down on that process and focusing on multiple player stuff that not everyone is into. I have no problem with multi-player stuff, but when it detracts from them working on decent sized DLCs, it makes me sad.
Who knows, maybe a large area like you say is exactly what could make things better. I guess I shy away from new ideas in fear of losing what seemed to work in the past. _________________ |

| A large new area with plenty to explore would be ideal for me. |

| Depends on what the dlc is going to be. If it were say, nothing more than an extension on the story, then I can imagine a massive area that houses all the dlc areas, and at the end of the dlc, you can gain access to the next one perhaps. However, I prefer the idea of smaller areas as they allow for more detail to be put into the world, rather than a large area that can look pretty bare if not executed right. However, this goes both way(OWB was a great large area, Dead Money was a bad small area). Honestly, I doubt that a super large area will be created, too many potential problems. _________________ Writer on the Fallout Intensive Project, which aims to bring the Fallout story to the UK.Bug Tester, Interior Creator, Designer and Decorator on the Frontier Mod |

| i think new areas would be cool, but there's also a massive map that Bethesda could work with. honestly, it feels pretty empty with the lack of quests, but i suppose that's just more space for modders to work with _________________ |

| Personally, I'd rather want Bethesda to make game improvements first rather than shipping out DLCs. One of which is the companion combat AI which should really be fixed. & they should also make it possible, by default, to have multiple companions in a party (at least 2 humanoids + dogmeat) with some interactive banter.
Now if they do make a DLC, I would like for a broader & creepier Salem Witchcraft lore kind of a deal. Doesn't necessarily need to have bigger areas, but it is certainly welcome. Just gotta have new creepier types of creatures with creepier lore & a broader story. Just like what was done with the vampire lore of Dawnguard for Skyrim. |

| @"aerystmd" I definitely agree with you, that would be a great dlc that isn't actually just a waste of money. _________________ Remember me? Of course not!

I agree as the stuff they have in the Salem area was ok, but I think they could have gone more creepy and deeper into the history of the Salem witch trials. I was thinking about the Darkend, Vigilant, and 5th Gate quest mods from Skyrim that did a great job pushing the horror atmosphere and Dark Souls like feel using the game's engine. I dont think supernatural elements are a part of Fallout-lore, so maybe something along the lines of Dead Space type gameplay where you have small corridors and new horror type creatures. I would like some new creature types as Deathclaws as the scary monster is getting old. I still love the new feral ghouls and holy cow they are creepy both in looks and I think they have variety of run and attack animations. As far as the OP's poll, I would prefer smaller areas that are specifically designed to support and provide a unique quest story. "The Pitt" and "Point Lookout" DLCs from Fallout 3 were two that came to mind. |

| @drunkenSocrates Although I personally prefer some supernatural aspect, I'd be contented even without. I even imagine it could work by having some "loony", creepy-comedy aspect to it. Something like having a boss character with the combined traits of No-bark (FNV, Novac NPC) & Cricket (FO4, traveling trader) with a story revolving around that character's " loony-ness." & speaking of Cricket.. damn, that's a hilarious character but unfortunately she's not a main type. She'd be a great companion considering her personality. She's a random encounter type NPC, as she's a traveling trader, but her few dialogue quips were hilariously interesting. She be having that Butthead (Beavis & Butthead) type of personality (& voice even!) |
