Which of these Fallout games do you find to be the most difficult? I say Fallout 4 because I die so much in it. lol.

Well I've played FNV on hardcore and been to places like The Courier's Mile and while it was all rather tough it did eventually get easier for me. So I have to give it to Fallout 4 being harder, the enemies are definitely smarter in this and more dangerous. Death Claws can zig zag, enemies with grenades and such will thow them frequently, and several creature type enemies aswell as feral ghouls will give you radiation if they hit you. Which is another thing, radiation is definitely more dangerous than in 3 or NV, because whereas in the other two you just got some debuffs in Fallout 4 however the more radiation you have the lower your max health. Yeah, basically like death around almost every corner and it continues to remain that way regardless of level, and I'm only playing on normal.

I've got about over 48hrs in on the game right now, but in those 48 hours of play time I have died more in Fallout 4 than I did in my entire hardcore New Vegas play through.

It's true, FO4 is way more challenging than FNV/F3 combined.

I agree with @D7Rock88 the game is somewhat more harder now and i am playing on Normal, the Deathclaws are and always will be my worst nightmare but now they are scarier.

The Ghouls are somewhat harder and well more annoying the fact that they just jump on you or leap on you is annoying but the fact that now they can also give you radiation each time they hit you can get a little bit annoying.

The enemies are now smarter which i think is a great improvment, they throw Grenades more frequently and use cover alot, i also really like the Raider bosses wearing Power Armor it makes them look like Bandit/Raider Heavy Troppers which is a great addition.

So yes i agree aswell that Fallout 4 is somewhat harder.

fallout 4 is the most challenging ive played but it isnt like darksouls 2 challenging its like a thought provoking challenge like "how am i gonna get through this area?"

Ghouls are harder, not just because of running up and slamming into you but also when you're aiming at them through the scope they duck and weave, making vats essential to take them on, but doesn't help when you don't have any AP. I'm finally starting to be able to take them down easier now. I hate them though.

Mirelurks in my opinion have also become more challenging. They're harder to hit in the head. Shooting them in the torso doesn't really help either. I've found though that laser weaponry works well on them though if you can get an angle.

Yeah i'd say in a few ways FO4 is more challenging.

The Suicide Mutants are easy to kill, just aim at the hand they are carrying the explosices most of the time it will be the right, try to hit that hand and they explode instantly killing themselfs and any other mutants with them. Use VATS it helps alot with the aiming.

Oh yeah for the most part they're easy but if you get caught inside a building with one, like this one in a hospital, even if you shoot the arm you're going along for the ride. Never ran out of a building so fast.

Fallout 4 is more difficult in my opinion.
Fighting with the atom children is frustrating with their gamma gun, which gives you splash damage and huge amount of radiation.

definitely fallout 4 been playing on survival and its pretty tough. Kinda wish it had the same stuff from hardcore mode in new vegas.

Fallout 4, hands down. It makes the other 2 games laughably easy by comparison. Where to begin - enemies with Fatman launchers who shatter your power armor like glass? Or raiders/gunners using grenades to blow you out of cover - then there's the faster/more aggressive creatures, the swarms of foes who flank and use cover intelligently, the brutal death animations that trigger if you're below a certain health%.

I spent a lot of time/effort making Fallout 3 more difficult, to offset the powerful companions I added, Fallout 4 is like a more brutal version of that.

Fallout 4 for just radiation alone. FO4 is actually a challenging game, unlike 3 & NV which werent that hard without mods

I have to agree with Tesvixen, Fallout 4 has what I believe a much harsher start than any other fallout. Molerats and hungry dogs in previous titles? pffffft easy, in fallout 4 they seem to have a much bigger punch than before. Raiders are molly happy and can easily chip away at your health, there a boss monsters now with ridiculous bullet sponge health and damage, you could get a executed by mobs now, and to top it all off the power armor seems weak, not in looks but in performance raiders with power armor are like tanks while your like a noodle man.
Those are just some of the main points I can see making Fallout 4 so much harder
Also forgot to mention how robots are literally the Antichrist in fallout 4, it crazy how much damage they deal and take as well as being absolutely relentless.

FO4 feels more difficult, especially when creatures start dodging all your bullets. I suppose after the first play-through, it would be easier since you'll have known about the most beneficial perks and other world/enemy behaviours.

No idea, have played Fallout 4 for only 5 minutes yet. Waiting for first fixes and more mods.
