| I just can't stay into it as long the Elder Scrolls games, but I want to enjoy them more. What good mods are there that liven up the game (gameplay overhaul mods are what I'm thinking of, mainly, but you can suggest other mods.) What are fun things to do in Fallout games? I really want to be able to enjoy Fallout as much as Elder Scrolls games. Should I just stick the Elder Scrolls games if I enjoy them more? |

| Give TTW or Project Brazil a shot! Both add an immense amount to the game _________________ ____________________________________________________________

What are they, exactly? Also, I should probably have also said this in case it is relevant: I prefer 3 over New Vegas. |

| TTW combines Fallout 3 and New Vegas in one single game to say the least, it's great and you should give it a try. Project Brazil is another story in another year in a different place, but is not complete, so I wouldn't suggest it. _________________ |

| I would suggest the mod: "A World of Pain". It Adds 114 intense locations to the wasteland filled with enemies and loot. They vary from small Gas Stations to huge maze-like sewers and derelict factories. Adds several days of new gameplay possibilities. A massive new linked Underground complex awaits filled with quests, NPCs with dialogue, vendors and some of the toughest enemies you will encounter anywhere in the game. Also adds many Mark II weapons, Armors and items to the game with enhanced statistics to help and hinder you throughout. By far this is top mods for me. |

| A world of pain and raiders reloaded, as well as project Brazil are all mods that can really really improve your fallout experience. A world of pain adds tons of new enemies, quests, and locations to the game. Raiders reloaded turns the vanilla gangs into real threats, and project Brazil creates an entire new campaign that you start in with a completely new world! |

| Julum I totally understand where you're coming from... I was much more 'into' the Elder scrolls games as well, it wasn't until I began to heavily mod Fallout that it became my preferred game. |

Oh believe me, I would be modding the heck out of these games if I had the brain capacity to learn how to use things like Blender and such. (Every time I try reading a tutorial for a modding tool, I get completely lost.) I would totally make a Samus companion or something. (I can't even figure out how to make a working companion.) EDIT: I just downloaded a rip of Samus's Prime model. I want to dedicate myself to this. |

| So many great mods. Give Enclave Commander a try, mix that with some of the top mods and you've got an all out war on your hands. Right now I'm going through conquering the wasteland with my troops. If your familiar with the GECK you could also make your own factions ! _________________ Pre Vizsla: This lightsaber was stolen from the Jedi Temple by my ancestors during the fall of the Old Republic. | The Weapon Mods Like M4A1s, AK-47, PKMs, M16s, And Custom Animations To Suit Them
New Weapons in Fallout give the game a completely new look and theirs so many of them! Finding them yourself or just consoling them/placing them in. Your favorite gun in real life is probably out there or in the making. I hope this helps you get back into Fallout because it is truly a new game with mods

| I'd give TTW a try and then you can add any Fallout 3 mods that seem interesting into New Vegas by just running a script you can download on the Tale of Two Wastelands page. Run the Lucky 38, is one that I usually recommend, it gives you the ability to open your own casino along with adding a few quests to the game. Project Nevada is a must. It improves gameplay greatly. TG's Armor Collection adds some really cool armors. It doesn't sound like much, but it's really a good thing to have different looking armor just to change up the looks. There's also an NCR armor replacer that gives the NCR TG's armors. Real Time Settler or Wasteland Defense add some nice changes when you don't feel like questing. You get to build your own civilization or fort respectively. There's a BF4 weapon pack over on the Public Release Weapons forum that adds some really cool looking weapons. If you have download permission here, download Dragbody's armors. I've only downloaded the public release armors, but those previews are phenomenal.
Sorry for the wall of text. those are the mods that I almost always use to make the game feel new.

| As others have suggested, A Tale of Two Wastelands is a must for combining 3 and New Vegas into the same game, and being able to traverse between the two wastelands as you please. If you're into realism, Project Nevada adds stuff like visors, bullet time, sprinting, better scope zooming and more. Visually you might like something like the Overgrowth or Dynamo enbs. Willow is a fantastic companion and does more than most in the sense that she isn't just "Hey here's one quest involving me and now I'll just stick around to shoot stuff and make irrelevant comments once in a while." More Perks well... Adds more perks. So in case you're sick of getting the same ones every time you level up this should add a nice change.
There's definitely more out there that are absolutely fantastic, but these are the ones I recommend. |

| Project Nevada is an absolute must if you want gameplay overhauls. EVE (Essential Visual Enhancements) overhauls the effects and energy weapons and a bunch of other stuff. If you want quality, voice-acted quests with interesting plots, I suggest all of Someguy2000's mods. He has also made Russell, who is a fully-voiced companion but he also comes with a long quest. The best thing about these mods is that they use a mutual Master File, so your choices actually matter, even more effectively than they did in the vanilla game.
Here's a link to the master file, there's a link to each mod on it's page. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/48925/? |

| You should try Beyond Boulder Dome, this mod add a very long quest and a huge map for you to wander, really awesome mod. There is a lots of mods that add world space and it is awesome imo because you are walking in new places, discover new things is always something cool. Now you can try other quests mods like Lawless Vegas or New Vegas Bounties I, II or the spin-off New Vegas killer, if you feeling like hunting some bounties. Or if you feeling like killing for sport/money, there is Hitman, the mod send you to kill randomly generated NPCs for money and depending the way you play, it doesn't get repetitive. Or you can always try to do a really hardcore/realistic playthrought, that means never fast travel, walking most of the time, tweak the game to be realistic, add some mods for the lightning so it can be realistic dark, etc, combine with other mods that give you purposes, i only play like this. But of course you can always play in a completely different way you usualy play, like, you hate the legion, try to be one of them, do their quests, why not to do drugs? Turn a Great khan! Mod the fuck out of your game to your tastes and do other things you never did, or somethings you did only once years ago. I completed New Vegas 100%, and now all the playthroughs i do, i tend to "new things" to keep the game alive, there is always something you will like doing, you only have to dig deeper to find.
Or i give you another tip, completely against the pourpose of the topic, do something else, if you have time to spare, go watch movies or tv series, read a book, hang out with friends, learn another language(i am 100% of the time praticing the ones i know and trying to learn new ones), do something, play something else, because, if you are not feeling like it, playing the game against your will you only ruin your experience, so if one day you decide to paly again, you'll have a bad memory and will avoid something that now would be a good experience _________________ - My Achievements:

Thank god.. >.> thought I was the only weirdo doing this. I want to say Project Brazil like the rest but it stops when you get outside(you start in a vault.. didn't see that coming.) Most of the player created quests/lands are pretty awesome.. bounties(1&2)/beyond boulder dome/the inheritance/the rockwell pursuit I'd say wartrash but the first is buggy unless its been fixed and same for the second one.. |

| I felt the same way as the OP as I haven't played in a while. But, TTW has me wanting to start a new game, especially since I have a new computer that can max all the settings. I also never tried the ENBs or Project Nevada so this should be great. |

| What kind of things do you enjoy doing when playing?
e.g.
What kind of character do you play? evil, good, Stealthy, Heavy weapons? what are your favourite kind of weapons? Do you travel alone/companion(s)? What type of armor do you like? shiny new or weathered and old? Heavy or light? You're favourite faction? do you do quests, or do your own thing? Want more NPC spawns? more Immersion?
There's hundreds of mods to choose from which can enhance your experience in pretty much any area of the game, If you gave some info on your style of playing/ what you like, it would be easier to recommend mods for you,
I hope this helps(ish)
