Apparently some people are starting to believe that the performance for Fallout 4 is based off of RAM and not your graphics card.

Here is the story here: http://wccftech.com/fallout-4-performance-heavily-influenced-by-ram-speed-according-to-report/

What are your thoughts?

Performance is dependent on all your hardware. And even so, despite the ram amount suggestions, some of my mates say it hasn't used more than 2 gigs yet.

I think the processor plays a key part
but yeah, try applying shadows or reflections on an 8GB RAM system with 1 GB vRAM GPU and you'll see that whatever those guys told you is bollocks.
It's still a very well optimized game, though cheers For its generation TongueTril

I have noticed complaints from people with high end gaming PCs still having problems running the game. I've seen people with GTX 970 and 980 graphics cards complaining about getting 30-40 fps, no matter which detail level they are playing on. The Steam forums are practically littered with complaints.

Yeah, i have a 970 and so many parts of the world give me low fps. Its ridiculous. I didnt pay a ton of money for my gaming computer to experience crappy fps. Bethesda needs to patch this crap ASAP

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I have a 970 and I'm keeping pretty much a solid 60. I'd be interested in what fixes you all's problems, might be important down the road.
