I was wondering what you guys would think about a fallout based in the UK, In one of the cities like london, the idea popped into my head due to an image of a ruined parliament building with a damaged bigben standing next to it, the image is one of the loading screens in this mod : nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55488/?

I could just imagine there being some sort of base inside the ruins of the gherkin and boat bases across the thames

I think this would be interesting, but it would loose the patriotic american retro twist that really sells fallout for me. The classic music and the very anti communism propaganda, mixed with the destroyed world makes fallout so magical. I think it London would be cool for a dlc or maybe obsidians next installment in the franchise, but fallout 4 needs to be in the good 'ol US of A IMO.

Personally I don't care where it's set, so long as its good (and not a crappy port of an Xbox game on PC). London, Arabia, Japan, totally open to whatever Bethesda thinks of.

I'm all for it! While it is true that Fallout has USUALLY taken place in the US,never forget that we've had bases all over the world for a long time. That means there's always a chance that the BoS or Enclave could have chapters everywhere...
I'd like to see Fallout take place somewhere out of the ordinary...There's only so many places in the US you can go since there are only so many places that can be considered memorable and "popular" enough....

Fallout game set in United Kingdom, in my opinion would be a nice change of pace and would definitely provide some interesting results, however it is important that the game is built by the people native to the area or at least familiar with the background and the atmosphere of the setting.Since all Fallout games possess this natural feeling of America which is carried throughout the series, similarly as other games of post-apocalyptic genre, made in other parts in the world.

free health care, would make the game to easy.

A Fallout set in the UK would be really cool.
If that happens, I want the theme to be more 60s than 40s and 50s, with British Invasion music like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Isn't Alistair Tenpenny of FO3 from the UK? I bet it would be awesome seeing that there seems to be a surviving aristocracy there. Anywhere with a massive city would be awesome.

Also maybe the City of London (city within london that isn't part of london - CGP Grey) could be like it's own faction.

I'd also love to wear a post-apocalyptic version of the Queen's/King's guard

You could probably still have some sort of propaganda, especially since the world was destroyed a few years after the second world war, and the music would still fit as it was all very similar around that time period - with the intercontinental trading becoming safer and easier ...........

It'd be so cool to be in a different country in the fallout universe, I always wonder what became of Canada during the events of pre-war fallout, I know of the annexation but other than that I don't know much. But walking the streets of London would be eerie as hell.

I've always wondered what's going on in the rest of the world in fallout universe. The great war only really implies China and US being involved, and doesn't really tell much about the rest of the world. So I wouldn't mind finding out what's going on in the UK.

Honestly I wished they would do fallout new vegas(before it was announced as that) to be somewhere else. I mean we all know the situation in U.S by now. I want to see what happened to Europe/Middle East/Asia. I can only keep hoping I guess or if someone will make a mod of that but sounds like too much work.

Can you imagine how big of a mod that'd be? Pretty much all of the meshes and textures for buildings would have to be made from scratch, the architecture in all of those places are so different from what we've seen in Fallout so far but that'd be such a sweet mod.

Yeah but like I said sounds like too much work, I mean look at the Brazil mod. Its taken them over 5 years to get where they are and they are barely close to being done.

I agree, Project Brazil is a very good mod so far and I really hope they don't abandon it.

I think it would fit fallout if it was up in the north of England where theres villages and a lot of open areas that bethseda could expand on and make places there, like military bases or Enclave bases or something like that.

Sadly Europe is not really covered in the Fallout world the Enclave is a remnant of the US Govt military. Would have to read more in it, I think china pretty much took that entire side of the world if I remember right, giving them the resources they needed to try make their advance on the US believe Canada and Mexico got annexed into the US because of the immediate threat of China and its goal for world domination and the spread of communism.

Bethseda (Or Obsidian) made the lore so they can add new stuff to it or set it in a different time, like the year 3500, if they wanted so its their choice really.
I don't know if i sound like a jerk in this but I dont mean to.

If they did it they would have to make a prequil game while china was taking over Europe, there is a chance for them to do that, but making a game in the current time of fallout without twisting or staying true to the story wont happen, and lore fanatic fans would not be too happy.

Fallout game take place in UK, I dont think so, It would have to be a country that is very powerfull in military region, if not US then next best bet would be Russia as those both countries are ready for nuclear warfare, plus UK is a small island compering it to US, so if a Tsar Bomba like bomb would fell on UK which has yeld of 58 Megatons, 4 of them and the survival of UK is down to 0, but knowing fallout lore thay were playing with bigger toys than TSAR, the bomb in Megaton is 4 more power full then TSAR so UK would not last that long, simply the raduis blast is too big and think of the radiation and the dramatic change of wather.

I recomend playing Hell Gate London that its a preaty cool game based in london, and I belive that the picture you showed is part of concept are form that game.
