So I decided to try out this mod here just to kind of expand my armor collection. For whatever reason, despite having all the proper files in place, the Master Chief armor undergoes a camouflage bug where the meshes change to whatever it is my character happens to be looking at, like a preservation chamber. If he looks at the preservation chamber, the armor piece meshes turn into that. The helmet's meshes are also bugged out. I'm out of ideas on how to fix it. I've tried moving all the files into their proper places manually, all the way to using FOMM to package them, all to no avail.

Bug:

Sounds like archive invalidation. Toggle it off and back on with your mod manager or get archive invalidation invalidated from the nexus and follow the install steps.
And btw it's a texture problem, not a mesh problem If it were a mesh, you wouldn't see anything or you would see a giant red exclamation mark.
Reinstalling mod helps too. Install loose files might help as well.

Well, I tried archive invalidation. Didn't work, unfortunately.

Most likely the textures are in the wrong file path. You'll have to change that in nifskope so that the texture files for the armor are where they are supposed to be.

I've managed to get the nanomesh textures to show up, but unfortunately, the upper armor textures don't want to show up. The texture folder for the armor shows there's nothing there in Nifskope, but when I open it in file manage, they appear.

Final Edit: I got it to work. Turns out I was missing the Halo 4 folder that the Master Chief textures go in. Who would have thought. Once I put the Halo 4 folder in, everything went smoothly.
