So, we know that FO4 has a "layered armor system".
As well as the really cool ability to mix and match parts for power armor.
There's also the new weapon system which allows you to craft weapons out of different parts.
Obviously, this opens up a whole new array of possibilities for user created mods. But I am specifically think about porting right now.
There are plenty of games which have modular/customizable armor and weapon systems. Potentially, once the modding tools are released and the correct process is discovered, we will be able to introduce a ton of customizability to Fallout 4.
So, what I am wondering about is what highly customizable content from other games people would like to see in Fallout 4 in the future?
What first comes to mind for me is Borderlands 2. Since every gun in that game was created by combing various parts, I think it would lend itself well to the FO4 system. I think the Bandit weapons would fit the aesthetic since they look like they were made out of junk (and probably were). This reddit thread has some really neat infographics about the weapon parts: https://www.reddit.com/r/Borderlands2/comments/1931o4/weapon_parts_infographic_5_pistols/. Take a look and imagine the possibility.
Anyway, just wondering about this while I wait for the game and was thinking others may have cool ideas.
