So you guys might have notice there a couple of leaked screenshots and video's of fallout 4 floating on the internet and I want to ask where do this leaks come from I mean the game isn't even out yet so any ideas?

I know that they sent some copies for review to websites like IGN, Polygon, PCgamer...
probably the gameplay leaks come from one of these websites.

A lot of retail stores get the copies early, and some unscrupulous employees or simply lazy management has resulted in people being able to play it before they should. Bethesda's been hard at work cracking down on the leaks, but people have managed to post videos to third-party websites and the like.

Yeah, the videos I've seen with anyone talking sounds like employees of retailers that "borrowed" the game and decided to show off content. I say employees, but perhaps theft (theft either way, right?) from stores.

I'm not looking too much for the leaked content, but I can't help but watch when I stumble upon it. Good stuff.

There are actually a lot of videos and screenshots. I'm more curious how those with the PC version got the game early.

The video I glimpsed at was an Xbox copy afaik (Xbox controller prompts, and game not on Steam yet?). I suppose it's possible it was a review copy, though. Lip-sync wasn't even close, which might mean it had files for another language?

I haven't seen if there are others. The perks and wiki stuff were ripped around the time that video came out.

I'm avoiding it all as best I can, but I did peak at those delicious perks!

The hype is killing me, I think if I watched those vids or looked more screenshots my heart would give out.

Not cool for the people who have/had access to Fallout 4 leaking gameplay videos and screenshots without Bethesda's permission. Breaking NDA is a serious offense and will more than likely result in the individuals getting excluded from future early access game testing.

The ending(main quest) is being spoiled in some comment sections (youtube), so yeah- avoid the internet.

I am personally avoiding all contact with social media dealing with FO4, spoilers are out there. Watch yourself out there. I want fallout 4 to remain a fresh experience coming into it blind, which is what made Fallout 3 so special for me.

The problem also lies in the fact that some people have actually received their Pip-Boy editions early. For example;


No gameplay or anything... but just merely an unboxing video. Guess what? He goes "to play the game" afterward... which is the key-issue here; not just game journalist sites... wouldn't be surprised if they too are just as responsible. I've followed the path of haloruler here; I'm not even checking the Steam Community Hub either.... because trolls who like to ruin experiences for everyone else are just as frantically posting story spoilers there too. My piece of advice? Go play something else in the meantime. Play the anthology if you have it on Steam. :3

EDIT: Note he mentions obtaining the Season Pass: He does not. He was erroneous in saying this and says as much. Just a pamphlet advertising the pass.

Yep and that what bethesda gets for giving copys away to these so called "Reviewers" Just another pathetic way to get games early.
