Hey guys, i am fairly new to modding and here is what i need your help with. I recently re-installed new vegas and since its the year 2015 i would like to bring up to date as best as possible. So i downloaded a bunch of Mods, Tweaks, Patches etc. to do so, however i am kind of at a loss as to what installation order i need to follow in oder to not overwrite some crucial features and to get the best result. And i also would appreciate some help with the load order after i am done installing. I am using NMM and here is a list of all my downloaded mods, also dont be shy if you think i miss some crucial mods that improve the game even more

First off if you do not want to have any problems you would be better off dumping NMM for FOMM (fallout mod manager) or MO (mod organizer) as NMM tends to install things incorrectly and can cause problems. The only game I use NMM for is skyrim the fallout games I use FOMM and oblivion I use OBMM  (oblivion mod manager). If you decide to use MO there is a learning curve to get things up and running in it.

BEFORE installing any mod, make sure you startup New Vegas atleast once (get to the main menu). This will allow New Vegas to generate much needed config files for the game.

It really doesn't matter too much what order you install mods, as long as you install patches/updates last. Even then, it's hard to make mistakes, seeing as NMM asks if you want to overwrite or not when installing a mod. I would also advise you to install texture packs last and allow them to overwrite when prompted. Lastly, toggle on Archive Invalidation after installing your textures. This will ensure they show up correctly in-game.

Don't be intimidated by modding. It's super easy. Good luck

I've used NMM for awhile and have no issues with it. The newest update is a bit sketch, but otherwise it's fine.
