So i loaded my new Vegas save and took the train over to dc however the quest to find dad did not start. I'm looking to start the quest at the point of just leaving vault101 for the first time. Anyone know the console command for that? I googled this and that told me "setstage 06014e83 1" but that did nothing i also tried 0 instead of 1. And also the first two numbers can vary based on load order so i already know that and 06 is my fo3 esm.

I believe he is referring to Colin Moriarty, located in Megaton.

Yea but now my game keeps crashing anytime i go from farragut metro and head towards rivet city. I can get past maybe 70m before it crashes. And only has happened in this location. So idk what it is. Also idk if i got the name of that metro right but it is something like that. Its location is north of rivet city along the edge of the water on the right.
