I was wondering since I rebooted my computer what will happen when I reload my games like fallout new vegas. Will the games folder still hold my mods or will I have to start from scratch.

I think you'll still have your mods. You should be fine.

For FO3 and FO:NV, you may have to run the launcher in order for your mod manager to recognize either game. Some people have had good luck without running the launcher, others not so much. Doesn't hurt to try.

Yes, mods dont get deleted. It just removes the original game file. Now if you have something overwrite something like "MainTitle.mp3" That will be replaced since Steam thinks its an original file

I still don't seem to have gotten my mods back since launching the game and my mod manager. What should I do now.

How much mods did you have originally? If it's not a ton, I'd recommend reinstalling them.

I had 110 mods installed but I'm not worried about that, its that I had some mods I was creating saved into the meshes and textures files which I don't want to have lost.

Have you checked the folders to be sure it is truly missing and not just a mod manager issue?

I checked fallout 3 and new vegas plus skyrim and none of my mods transfered.

I usually have my mods even after uninstalling then reinstalling the game.

For some reason I lost all of my recent saves aswell and have no mods at all installed on the game.

That happened once to me before. When I uninstalled Steam everything disappeared. I finally traced it, at least I believe, to the fact that I had two installs. I move or reinstalled it can't remember and there were two records of Steam. When I deleted the files.. somehow it deleted all my mods as well. I discovered that i still had a steam entry when I went to my user account info (apps) and found an entry there. It was no where else. That is what might have caused me to loose the mods I had before. Might be what happened to you.

It sucks, however make sure you don't 'have an extra entry somewhere for Steam before you start this again. I personally have an external and back that up on a semi regular basis. Mostly when major changes are going to be done to my OS, or Steam itself. I just Sync two (update my backup). So far I havne't had to use it likely because i am prepared.
