| I doubt it will considering it has never been brought up and has never been in any of the games. However someone might make a mod for it. There is a mod called shogo industries and you can have duel wield katanas. But the second one is just place into your hand and isn't treated like a weapon. It's a bit derpy _________________ Moral of the story, don't snort RedBull... it's painful

| To be frankly honest, I wouldn't actually care about dual wielding since I might not use it as much. So I doubt it would be put into Fallout 4 _________________ War. War never changes. - My Achievements:

| Would be good to have as a skill or a trait with advantages and disadvantages. Like more damage buff but heavily reduced accuracy. |

| For 1-handed melee weapons, definitely! Rocking two combat knives or a stun baton + knife would be dirty... and fun.
Dual wielding firearms is highly inefficient and inaccurate. For me, as someone who prefers marksmanship, it's pretty low on the wishlist. The only exception I'd make would be if your offhand could hold something like a flashlight or torch. _________________ |

| There is a probality to see the dual wielding feature appeared, maybe it'll be revealed at Quakecon, with the new Creation engine, who knows.

It is short but it is worth the current price tag. The story is linear but the gameplay is not. You can kill everyone or never even get detected. And aspects of the story change depending on how you play the game. So no, it is not linear @me444 |

| I totally want to do dual-wielding such as with the Gunzerker or Neisha in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-sequel. Running around with a couple of 10mm pistols in Bullet Time would be totally awesome! _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I agree, two firearms would be impractical.. But I'd still love having the option to dual wield two sub machine guns, it'd take me back to my borderlands days of playing as a Tank character. |

| Guys, it's a video game, does dual-wielding firearms being impractical really matter? (That was terrible grammar but whatever)
Personally I think FONV should have already had dual-wielding with its western themes. |

Personally I think FONV should have already had dual-wielding with its western themes. All fantasy has a basis in reality, and games are no exception. While no game is completely realistic to the point of being indistinguishable from reality, no game is completely unrealistic to the point of being foreign to our perceptions of reality. There is a point in which the suspension of disbelief no longer applies, and while Fallout isn't completely serious and realistic at all times, it also doesn't take the piss out of everything without a fairly good reason or precedent. Games that do employ dual wielding are operating by rule of cool, or the protagonist is a superhuman. Fallout does neither of these things. Dual wielding in Fallout would be begging for immersion to be thrown out a nearby window, then used to sweep up the pieces of glass. It's something a lot of reasonable Fallout fans don't want or need on account of it having no place in the Fallout universe. _________________ "They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. | I remember a discussion like this in the Fallout 4 Discussion thread, I think . Anyway, as Gyrard said, it'd be impractical and not fit for Fallout. Fallout does have its silliness but it also desires to be a serious game with its dark theme of how humanity breaks each other apart after the bomb fell theme. Moved topic from Video Game Discussion to Fallout Discussion. |

| That never even crossed my mind, but now that I think about it that would be amazing to have, They already have the melee mechanic with pistols so hopefully that would mean that it may be able to handle dual pistols. Wow that would be sweet |

| Nope....... Its highly unlikely. Unless they just don't plan on showing it. Which is even unlikelier. _________________ "I'm really very boring. | If it did then I would have thought it would be shown at E3. They were all for showing off their new features at the time but who knows? Maybe they're keeping something as a surprise. Can't give everything away at once right? _________________ - Deadpool Loves G.U.N!:

Dual wielding in Fallout would be begging for immersion to be thrown out a nearby window, then used to sweep up the pieces of glass. It's something a lot of reasonable Fallout fans don't want or need on account of it having no place in the Fallout universe. I respectfully disagree.. I'm frankly tired of having to switch from a melee weapon to a pistol, or assault rifle.. Sure, maybe it'd be unrealistic to have my character's left hand underneath his right, with his right hand wielding a one handed firearm / small gun. But what about flash lights? This would give modders a chance to integrate tools like flash lights into the player's empty hand. (But then again, maybe flashlights could be added as a weapon mod.) What if bayonets were added as weapon mods, and whenever you push let's say the right stick (On a controller) or another key, that kill went toward your unarmed skill? I would love having multiple approaches to combat scenarios, I get it, it's an Open World RPG, but the Fallout: 4 trailer proves that it plays more like a modern FPS game.. (Battlefield, MOH, etc.) What if Fallout: 4 takes the route of borderlands, where your knife / melee weapon is assigned to a certain key or button on a controller? Why not give players that option in the menus, and if they don't like it, they can turn it off? |

| There's no 'right' answer to this. Some of you want DWing, some of you don't... some of you love the idea, some of you hate it. At the end of the day though, Bethesda is the one that decides how 'unrealistic' or lore-destroying it is, and thus whether or not we get it.
Just be sure to respect each others' opinions, no matter how vehemently you might disagree with some of them.

| that would be cool, but that doesn't seem like a feature they would want to keep secret and there hasn't been any news of it yet, so i doubt it will be in the game. |
