I have been trying to update one of my old mods but now my companions will no longer spawn. the geck says they are in the game world but they are not showing up anyone have some recommendations on whats happening.

Check your pipboy map and see if he/she is in a different location or try using one of those terminals that dismiss all companions and then go back to where you originally found them. If it's a modded companion try re-installing the mod if the other ones I suggested don't work.

They were modded companions I made I made a new game to see them. They were not showing up in the game world. I will try reinstalling after I try player.placeatme.


So it says invalid object, this only appears to be happening to my creature companions and not the human ones. So I am lost.
