Hey people of the GUNetwork, I'm working on a mod for fallout that adds the garage from the fallout 4 trailer to fallout new vegas, I'm also adding the dog as a small simple companion, but I don't know how I should call the dog because the name hasn't released yet.
why don't you all just write a name and I'll choose one

Most people have taken to calling it Dogmeat, even though Dogmeat's a different breed. As long as it doesn't turn out like the Pariah Dog, I'm fine with any name, really.

Like the guy above alot of people are calling the dog Dogmeat, However since Im not good at naming animals (My cats Ive had for 2 years now still have no names, simply referred to as Moma cat, Black cat, and grey cat) maybe consider calling the dog Simply Pal. Yes I know that sounds stupid but at the end of the trailer the protagonist simply says Pal. Now you can just name the dog Pal that way it technically is the player's Pal. Yea I know kind of stupid but hey at least I came up with something.

You could also lookup some very popular dog names and simply create a poll of the and have the community vote on it and see which name gets the most votes, and even have one of the choices being a community made choice up for voting. Then you will be able to see what the people would want to dog be named the most. However in the end as the mod creator it is your choice what goes in and what the dog name is. Just my suggestion of how to go about doing this.

Also: Will you be able to play as said dog? Just like how I expect to play as the dog in Fallout 4?

I think I'm going to agree on Pal. It just sounded really good when the 'player character' said it in the trailer. Although it's your mod so your it's your decision.

I like Mutt, but I would as I named my dog that. I suppose if the dog is a full breed German Shepard as it looks to be in the trailer, Mutt would make no sense.

I also like Pal.

Well i own a german shepherd and his name is Chop - GTA 5 Reference i wouldn't mind having him called like that but Rockstar would probably sue Bethesda so i say hey why not call him Caesar?

PS. I also have a Siberian Husky called Yuri.

@Svide why not call it aswell Dogmeat #2? Lol. I think it is time for a change but i don't think many people will agree i didn't really like the name dogmeat but that may just be me.
