| I don't really know, lol. I want to be able to create my own character with his own story, like in Fallout 3 and NV. And I feel like having a voiced character is gonna take away my own imagination and freedom to have MY personalized character! |

| Honestly, I hate games with premade stories and characters who are voiced. I just can't immerse myself into them.
So a big NO from me. I'm not going to buy it if its something like Shepard from Mass Effect. _________________ á…šá…šá…š

| Some good counterpoints, you guys. Hopefully we end up with a system that satisfies all of us. |

| Ehh, not sure.. "If there were options...maybe" would do it for me. Because I'm scared that my character won't meet my "personality requirements". I'm usually playing as a silent or badass female characters like Samus or Motoko, so if the protagonist is going to be "woww, grrreat! wohoo!", it will make me hate Bethesda XD |

| I wouldn't mind my character being voiced it would be a nice change, but what happens when a mod adds new dialogue for the PC, that won't be voiced and it might seem silly at times @flamenx01 I like your signature that you have, it's hilarious |

| Like they said it would make mods weird. Hopefully if it is voiced there will be a mod to remove the voice |

| I'm 100% for the idea, as long as it's optional. But who are we kidding, most all of us are going to play it regardless. I remember a big stink about this when Final Fantasy 10 came out, and the fact that there was finally voice acting made a lot of the fans hate the game, or hesitant to play it. I thought it was awesome that they were trying something new, and I actually love FF10 (I know someone here is bound to disagree). But the voice acting was terrible in my opinion (mainly Titus and Yuna. I loved Wakka and Auron). haha. Still love the game.
Same with Fallout, except there's not exactly the same level of personalization in FF as there is in FO. So for me, I'm hyped either way, but I really hope that turning the player voice off is an optional feature. I'd love to try it with at first, and probably turn it off my second or third playthrough.
We'll just have to wait for E3, I suppose. Finger's crossed. _________________ "Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue." My Mods: - Spoiler:

| I personally wouldn't mind a voiced main character at all, so long as it was from an 'A-list' voice actor, like Nolan North or Jennifer Hale (please let FemVaultDweller be Jennifer Hale). Bethesda's voice acting track record is spotty, though they've been getting better since NV. I just don't want to be saddled with some dev's aunt as my protagonist or something. |

| Dude, Nolan North and Jennifer Hale are in every fuckin' video game now.
Let someone else have the spotlight for ten seconds, there are a million and one great VAs that get passed up just because the "A-list" guys have name recognition. |

| I'm surprised that all of you are ok with the voice acting when I made this on the bethesda forums they all said/picked "No, but if we do we riot" (It was about 40-50) _________________ |

Oh, totally agree (though I am a bit of a Hale fanboy, have been since I was a kiddo), I was just using them as an example. The thrust of my point was I didn't want the protagonist voiced by the same guy as Raider #2-4, Old Lady in Shack, and 'misc. voices', and I want solid voice acting, not resume padding for some new guy. Which was more or less what we got in Oblivion. As I said, they have gotten quite a bit better about reusing voice actors lately, but I remain wary. |

| I.. LOVE IT! If they give us voice options. Otherwise I think having a voice is great. Now I don't have to be a quiet guy the whole time! _________________ |

| As long as I have a choice of having a voice or different voices that aren't Jennifer Hale, Nolan North, or Troy goddamn Baker.
That is a problem with most of modern gaming voice acting.
All of them are starting to sound the same. Kind of a problem that needs to be solved. So many young fresh voice actors. |

| I wouldn't like it no In my opinion it would ruin the role-play aspect of Fallout _________________ "Revelation 21:6. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely." -James Fallout 3 |

| I dont really mind it but I don't think just cause he said 3 words in the trailer means he is gonna be voiced. _________________ "IF YOU AINT FIRST YOUR LAST" - Ricky Bobby |

| Yeah, I definitely think the whole thing is hinged on whether there is voice options or not. It is, by nature, and RPG, so what if you're trying to play a measly speech-based character with little combat prowess and your only voice choice is one that sounds like an African War Chief? Then there's problems. Unless, of course, they turn to the darkside and release additional voice packs as DLC Elderly Caucasian Voice Pack...only 4.99! Seriously though voices can be a big problem for role-playing. And yeah, modded quests. What do? Re-use dialogue? Have weird silent quests? Sigh. _________________ |
