| I think that New Vegas is a better game as a whole, but the storyline for the main quest was a lot weaker than Fallout 3's. Fallout 3 actually had a decent plot, but more than that, it made your character feel more like an important player in a key series of events. New Vegas is a game I had a lot more fun with, but the main quest felt weak, and your character was only made important because he/she was randomly chosen. |

| I love fallout 3 for the story and how it feels like an apocalypse but fallout new vegas is more modern and has greater game mechanics. So I would have to say fallout 3 is my favorite. |

| I'm gonna have to say 3 cause new vegas is quite Bold and boring in my opinion. Now put mods out there? That's a diffirent story. If fallout 3 had the same mods as fallout new vegas when it comes to quality then I would have voted on new vegas. _________________ |

| In terms of vanilla gameplay without mods, mine is probably 3 cause of how it feels like a post apocalyptic wasteland with all the raiders and super mutants, New Vegas felt to empty and bare, weren't alot of enemies to fight, but in terms of modding New Vegas is way better. |

| Fallout New Vegas As a Fallout 1 and 2 veteran I found F3 to be revolting mechanic wise, it took away ammo types, neat weapons, and DT. FNV came along fixed all of that but then the story was a tad underwhelming, finding myself wandering back to F3 once a blue moon. And of course F3 no longer saw the light of day since the creation of TTW. _________________ +++++ Thought for the Day: There is no better millstone for success than that of adversity. +++++ |

| I loved the storyline and DLC's for Fallout 3 alot, so far FnV is preferred for me due to the mod support it has, especially that really well done willow companion mod. I just wished FNV had a stronger storyline and better DLC's. (The lonesome road and old world blues were not too bad though) _________________ ;A; |

| I enjoy Fallout 3 more than Fallout New Vegas because I had an amazing time playing The Pitt and Point Lookout, which are my two favorite Fallout DLC. Also, I found more fights memorable in 3, such as the Super Duper Mart fight and the fight at Evergreen Mills. |

| I like both but Fallout New Vegas wins for me but it is the mods available that really make the decision. |

| FNV is closer to the Wasteland (game)vibe, it was just to small. 3 should of been spread out a little more to prevent the enclave from killing everything, some locations seemed to close to each other. Mix the two in a bowl and make a game.(Or give obsidian three years of development) 3 had better details in the environment. |

| I prefer Fallout3.
The setting just appealed to me more. Walking through the ruins of DC It actually felt like a nuclear war happened. A lot of destroyed buildings, irradiated areas and so on...
New Vegas was meh. It was more "wild west" themed than "post-nuclear war". It makes sense of course, Vegas wasn't nuked, the mojave was basically empty before the war as well. But I prefer the urban setting of DC. |

| New Vegas, No questions asked.
I like the setting in NV more than FO3, An empty, barren wasteland to survive in against the tide of many factions, Like the NCR, Legion, Powder Gangs and so on.
Not to mention that for FO3, You HAD to go with the BoS, No choice involved, Where you can go with any of 4 factions in NV, Not to mention ADS in NV is much better and the mods for NV are of a higher caliber, In my books. _________________ |

| Especially if you take the effort to install... But if I HAVE to choose, the characters and lore Fallout New Vegas takes the win for me.

I agree 100% about TTW...I'd choose both, but I got to go with FO3 for a singular choice. I found the story for FO3 more compelling and relatable, having family that lived in the DC area IRL made it feel more personal. It was a simple story...go find dad, fight for a cause bigger than yourself. Something about FNV just lacked a personal touch...perhaps it's because you're just thrown into the life of the courier without context, whereas with FO3 you 'grow up' and start bonding with characters early on. Doc Mitchel & Sunny Smiles are no substitute for Amata & James...not by a long shot. I just got the sense of being thrown into this crazy world completely naive of what the world is in FO3...and it was a bit overwhelming as a player. I never got that feeling with FNV. It's a revenge story to start with, so there goes any sense of innocence...then it morphs into a civil war type thing. I really didn't care who took control of Hoover Dam, none of the factions really struck a cord with me...especially the rapey slavers in the Legion. I kind of wish that FNV was more focused on a conflict between Mr. House and Benny as to who's going to control The Strip, with the back drop of the Legion and NCR duking it out. Make Benny a real villain...not just some schmuck who sounds like that knob Chandler from Friends The way it is, Benny never felt like a real threat or villain. He just shoots you in the opening cut scene and your mission is to go get the chip and kill him... ...jeeze. TL;DR, right? I could go on for pages about this kind of stuff At least with the TTW mod, Vault 101 Kid & The Courier are the same person...best of both worlds. | IMO, FNV have more tecnological resources, but I feel more comfortable with the F3 questline and with his atmosphere, maybe cause I dont like desert terrains.
Fallout 3 = storyline and inmersion
FNV = polished F3 and more mods.
This is what I think. |

| In my opinion Fallout 3 was too fatalistic. I felt like I had to be this hero character all moral and stuff. New Vegas was much more fun in terms of character development. |

| Fallout3's history is better, need proof? I cried when I finished FO3 lol Anyways, I still think FNV is way better in terms of gameplay and such, I enjoy a lot more playing FNV, also I like better FNV's Mojave Wasteland over the Capital Wasteland.

| Fallout new vegas is better because his story is'nt manichean compared to the story of the 3 and there is more stuff and many types of ennemies in NV than the 3. The best thing in the 3 is the filthy atmosphere that's not present in NV. |
