| Subject: ENB Not doing anything out of the blue? Wed Jun 03, 2015 3:25 am | |
| Hello, Now for a while i've been using an ENB for NV and its been working perfectly fine but suddenly out of the blue new vegas was not working correctly at all. It would get a error each time I would launch it so eventually I just deleted FalloutNV.exe and let steam redownload it. Its working again fine except my ENB. When I launch it, it gives me the same old top corner message telling me its enabled but theirs no aesthetic change whats so ever, it looks like vanilla New Vegas. I'm unable to open the ENB menu and I've tried using different ENB's but still nothing will work. I don't know what happened to cause this, I didn't download any new mods or anything it was just out of the blue that New Vegas stopped working on me. I looked this up but I couldn't find any fixes that worked for me (things like use old NVSE launcher, use mod organizer, use injector version etc.) If anyone has had this problem before please do tell me and how to fix this. Thank you |

| Are you using the 4gb patch, by chance? If you are it'll create a \exes\ directory, and the d3d9.dll for the ENB binary needs copied in there. _________________ Nexus Mods

| I am and I already did/have been using it like that. Even when I launch new vegas without 4gb it doesn't work. |

| Did you try reinstalling the ENB entirely? The 0.267 binaries should contain the following files for the wrapper version: enbseries\enbbloom.fx.ini enbseries\enbeffect.fx.ini enbseries\enbeffectprepass.fx.ini enbseries\enblens.fx.ini enbseries\enbsunsprite.fx.ini d3d9.dll enbbloom.fx enbeffect.fx enbeffectprepass.fx enbhost.exe enblens.fx enblensmask.png enblocal.ini enbseries.ini enbsunsprite.fx enbsunsprite.tga license_en.txt readme_en.txt
Make sure all of those files are in the base install directory for New Vegas, or better yet just reinstall the entire package. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have the d3d9.dll in both the root and exes\ directory. I had a terrible time getting it working recently myself.
I want to throw this out there: I'm methodical about going through troubleshooting steps because I work in IT. It's not because I think you lack a know-how or anything like that, and I don't want it to come across like that. _________________ Nexus Mods

| Yeah in fact i've tried like 2 other enbs to try to get it working but still no work. And I have tried putting it both in root and exe but still, no. |
