Personally I am from Los Angeles and I think it would be really cool to see a wasteland version of this.

Only thing with that is the LA area is pretty much even more of a wreck after fallout 1.

Personally if the rumors are to be believed and its set in boston that could be quite good. The idea of playing an android that has escaped the commonwealth and had its memory erased and reconstructive surgery (aka character creation) could be a nice spin on player character and also a tie in to zimmer and FO3. I love the western style feel of new vegas but love the built up areas of FO3 so a combo of the 2 would be nice. Perhaps Houston you could explore the ruins of the space program etc that would make a very interesting local perhaps a big bad trying to use the derelict missles to launch new armamants at the rest of the surviving populace.

To be honest I dont care where its set as long as its a very good game.

I would like to see Texas in Fallout 4. They would have the best of both worlds a lot of open space like New Vegas and some inner city ruins like DC. We can also revisit the Brother hood of Steel being a major faction; I believe they are the dominant faction in this area.

I think texas would be a great setting or wherever Norad is potential plotline your a decendent of the pre war government the true government you come out of the Presidential bunker and set off on a mission to re-unite the waring factions. Sort of the like what the enclave are were trying to do but you can chose to do it through fear or freedom. You have to unite the BoS and NCR and anyone else out there

Only extremely amatuerishly I'm more of an ideas man. I have 1001 plots and ideas floating around in my head. If I was any good at modding I would have turned out some wicked story mods by now but alas I am about as good at modding as a duck is driving a JCB.

Maybe they could work NASA into the equation. Perhaps it would be a DLC, this would add the alien factor.

BOOM! Knocked it out of the ballpark. I like that idea. There is a mod just been released on the nexus that takes you to the moon I think it is actually called Boom to the moon I've yet to try it but its getting some serious attention.

would be a nice way of giving a nod to Fallout 3 other than I suspect 3dog is going to be making a return. The voice actor recently cameoed in ShoddyCast's lore series season 2 finale.

New Reno! The place honestly sounds really interesting to me. Just a lawless, desert region run by crime lords and cartels. If you've seen Pirates of the Caribbean, then you will understand when I say I imagine the place like Tortuga, only a Fallout version in the middle of the desert.

In the Honest Hearts DLC, one of the caravan guards, Stella, said she was the sheriff of a small town there. She also said,"Imagine New Vegas if there was no Mr. House-type fella keeping the peace, then give everybody a gun and a Jet addiction. Town's run by a bunch of crime families, no law to speak of. Make trouble, and you wind up buried in Golgotha, outside town. The scuzz factor's off the charts. Non-stop whoring and drugs. Couldn't walk down the street without getting asked to star in a porn movie."

Tell me that doesn't sound like a fun place for a Fallout game.

New reno was done in Fallout 2 and if your like me had no crime left by the time I wiped out all the families. But yes it is a cool location

I never played Fallout 2. But thanks for letting me know, I might just check it out now.

It had some great little side missions in it. Becoming the New Reno boxing champion. becoming a porn star (I know there is a mod that re-introduces that for new vegas) working for one of the crime families. Salvatore, bishop, wright. Another easter egg in new vegas the singer in Novac hotel room thats on the run from Mr Bishop is refering to the Bishop family of New Reno

L.A or maybe even Moscow for a different enviroment and it would be a different feeling from past fallout games

I personally think that the next Fallout 4 should take place in Seattle. They already have so,e concept art, build a base storyline and setting from that and bam! A very new and refreshing Fallout game with mountains.

I'd be fine with seattle as long as they get Kelsie grammer to be the radio host!

I'm not sure where, but I wouldn't have picked D.C. or Vegas either probably, and I love these places in-game now. So where ever they set it, I'll probably grow very accustomed to it over time.
