| I think it would be really cool to have a game like fallout as a MMORPG. The game would appeal to role player's and pvper's, with all the different factions competing for dominance in the waste. Besides who wouldn't want to travel the wasteland with your best bud's from GUN.

| As for me, I'd like to see post-apocalyptic MMO with big amount of subscribers, but personally I don't want it to be Fallout related. Fallout, as TES, has it own fan base, and big part of it is modding community, and mods are not compatible with MMO's. As for example, I almost sure that it would impossible to recreate my characters in such MMO, because they are very unusual for Fallout character's appearance style. |

| I wouldn't want fallout to morph into a MMO, perhaps they can coexist. I still want to see fallout four as a moddable RPG. _________________ "Run! Go! Get to the vertibird!"

| I would be against it. As a rule MMO's are largely plagued by trolls, idiots, scumbags, griefers... in short, people who consciously log on and look for ways to interfere with and ruin other player's experience.
It would be difficult to appreciate the atmosphere of the capital Wasteland with a bunch of idiots spamming "LOL WUT U SCRUBZ DOIN LRN2PLAY OMG ROFL LOL HAHA UR ALL RTARDED LMAO" in General/World chat.
I'd love co-op, where I could explore the game with someone that I know for fact isn't a moron. But no way I'd go for an MMO. Wouldn't play it if it was free. |

This is all too true, and I agree with vixen sadly. |

| No... Never... Uh uh... Ixne... Neit... Back away from the suggestion box. Fallout should remain a 1 player moddable RPG sereis. as stated above there are too many muppets in MMO's

Wouldn't it be fun killing those morons though. I totally agree with you Tesvixen. The hordes of idiots that flock to mmo's do spoil the game. I like your idea of a multi-player option. _________________ "Run! Go! Get to the vertibird!"

| Also the idea that Fallout is sparesly populated wouldn't transfer well to an MMO. How is it supposed to be the remnants of the world with thousands of dribbling, crayon wielding, slack-jawed nugget brained muppets running around.
A post apocalyptic MMO is all well and good do not tag it with Fallout out branding tho. |

| I think it should stay single player but if done right a Fallout MMO would be amazing. |

Lots of MMOs are amazing until you bring other people into the equation. That's when they go to hell. |

| Here are my general ideas for a Fallout Online game, for what they're worth.
Make a Fallout multiplayer sandbox modeled after GTA Online. Players can join game sessions with friends or clanmates to minimize/avoid randoms. Players start as independents with quest lines enabling players to join the NCR, BoS, Tribals, and Super Mutants if they don't want to stay neutral citizens. Gaming clans would have a base and gain clan experience based on the number of quests members do, quest difficulty, winning clan vs clan and faction vs faction deathmatches, and gaining control of resources or cities. Higher level clans unlock base and gear upgrades, new quests, and eventually vehicles (like clan Vertibirds).
Each faction have unique gear and skills: a power armor skill for the BoS, a chem skill for Tribals, a Marksmanship skill (separate from guns/small guns) that improve sniping, or damage against specific targets for NCR, and a tinkerer/gadgeteer skill to make improv and salvaged gear for independents. Super Mutants have either a berserker skill or a skill focused on a centaur pet and Ghouls get an "rad absorb" race ability that grants buffs and special attacks depending based on how irradiated they are.
Factions would fight for clan bases (if a clan enabled that option) and settlements that provide special bonuses for factions (E.G.: power plants would enable special upgrades and unique energy weapons). Certain resources would benefit each faction more than others (power plants for the BoS, chem labs for Tribals, etc), but also offer general bonuses. Trade hubs would offer factions better prices, factories would unlock special base upgrades and allow qualifying clans to build Vertibirds, etc. These bonuses would stack if a faction controlled multiple of one resource/city type.
I'm not sure if making resource bonuses should be faction-wide (all of the BoS or NCR gets the benefit) or localized to clans. I feel the former would be better and truer to lore than the latter, but some factions are fragmented (the BoS has chapters that broke off) and Citizens & Tribals wouldn't be a unified group. The latter two could be more clan-centric, but I feel that would imbalance the game. A single clan that relies on its own resources wouldn't theoretically stand much of a chance against factions that consolidated and redistributed resources like the NCR.
At any rate, I think something modeled along these lines could provide the fun of an MMO whilst minimizing the damage done by trolls. There's competitive elements, an incentive to play nice with others, and the skill/perk system would offer very diverse gameplay. The geo-strategic fight for resources could also provide some RTS elements if players wanted to get in to that. |

| I enjoy MMOs like Star Trek Online, but the ideal for fallout would an optional 2 player CO-OP mode.

| The problem with MMOs is there really isnt much adventure aspect to the games which is what I liked so much about fallout. All the MMOs that I have played its just go to this major location and do all the quests which will eventually lead you to another major location, like ESO for example. I thought Bethesda was going to make it more like actual elderscrolls gameplay but it was way too linear for me and I gave it an honest try, I beat the main story and got up to VR1, I couldnt play it after that because of how repetitive it was and I didnt like the PVP _________________ Ill remember you all in therapy! |

I agree,ESO. Well..I wasn't thrilled about playing it personally. A friend of mine who did like it BUGGED insisted I should download and play it. It was even more of a let down that I expected. I felt like I wasn't progressing at all even after I escaped the beginning area,my only response was "yeah, yeah, hurry up with your sacrifice or whatever, can I get out of here and go home now.". It wasn't the same feeling like I'd get from Bethesda's other games. _________________ Paws first into Hell! |
