| I'm especially interested in what people who never played it on console think.
I personally prefer GTA IV's gameplay, but GTA V has way mroe content and is much prettier. |

| Pretty much the same opinion here, I do like the look of the heists and will definitely play COOP heisting with a few friends when the game goes on sale but I really don't enjoy the look of the shooting on PC, I can't put my thumb on it but it just looks a bit.. rigid to me, at least from gameplay I've watched. _________________

| Well, the PC release got first person. I would say that makes it much better than the old games. _________________ ᅚᅚᅚ

| Rigid is definitely the correct word, the guns have almost no recoil. The game is still quite good, but not as good as I was hoping. Still, no complaints about the quality of the port. |

| Well, I think that it's simply good. It's really good. But as far as I know, GTA 5 will lack modding, because it's files are much more protected than GTA 4. |

| I like it. It is a very solid game. The mouse and keyboard makes the gunfights much easier than I'd prefer, but it won't stop me from playing. It is definitely worth $60. Will definitely be putting hours into this game; mostly story-mode - not a fan of online. |

| This game did justify me buying the GTX780 last year as I almost maxed everything except for a few small things such as draw distance and some other stuff.
I enjoy the fact that sections of the map are no longer blocked. Having different environments/urban type settings and such was a great idea as I have the feeling of driving long distances like some long road trip.
Im love small details in open world games and GTA always goes the extra mile by adding in pieces of garbage in areas you normally find them clumped together against a corner between two buildings, and the street signs and climate weathering on them. My favorite areas I enjoy walking around and admire is the low end neighborhoods just to see the crazy details they put in.
I thought I wasnt going to like GTA online, but having the option to play online solo to avoid griefers does help and I can quickly switch between solo and regular online.
My only confusion is why is the military carrying Kalashnikovs? _________________ |

| I've got a lot of praise for this game. Anyone who's played along side me in online mode probably already knows that. So, I thought I'd mention a few down-sides related to the online mode. - Death Screen Bug - Sometimes, during a Deathmatch, Heist, Survival, or Hold Out (Probably many other modes too), if you die or are the player responsible for failing the mission, you can get stuck on the death screen. When the game reloads to start one of the aforementioned again, you still have control of your player, you can see the minimap too, but the death screen is still overlayed on top of the game so you can't see what's going on. It's not until you kill yourself or get killed that the bug corrects itself and even then it's still temperamental
- Load Times - Long load times are always to be expected with graphically demanding games in online mode, but this really takes the cake and then some. I counted a load time of over 3 minutes in some cases. Strangely, I don't recall load times of this length in the PS3/360 versions of the online mode.
- Inability To Fast Travel Without Using Playlist Glitch - This is probably the most annoying point. The inability to fast travel without using the playlist glitch. Finding friends through fast travel would be a lot easier, but in GTA V, it's almost as annoying as DayZ was. Nothing is seemless. Everything takes an age and a day to do. Just getting friends in the same session to start a Heist took a good 15 minutes. Then another 15 or so to get past GTA V server issues -- people unable to join on friends and getting kicked back into story mode when failing to join on them, which means having to go through another half-a-dozen load screens just to return. Yep, so annoying.

| Memory leak is a evident problem too, after some time i get some really annoying stutters, restarting the game fix the problem. |

I find that this sometimes happens when you fail a mission and restart, too - but alt-tabbing out and back into the game fixes it for me. |

| I enjoy the game when it isn't causing my rig to bluescreen or crash the drivers (which is about every 5-30 minutes). I've tried everything I could find online to fix it, but it seems to be an issue only Rockstar can fix. Other than having to replay missions five or six times its fun. _________________ |

| So makes you wonder what exactly was R* doing when they were pushing the release date for PC "fixing bugs" . After reading some of the posts here I'm having second thoughts on getting a copy. |

| Well here are some of my opinions on the game after clocking in about 50 hours in the game. Singleplayer1. Story missions are pretty interesting and varied especially when doing heist setups and the actual heist itself. 2. The concept of having 3 main characters both really innovative and fresh. You get to have different perspective on certain missions and it links it together really well. The only downside is that you won't really develop that attachment to a certain character like you did in previous games. This is to be expected i guess seeing that you'll be playing 3 different people with different unique personalities. 3. The NPCs you meet are colourful and varied, ranging from gangbangers, government agents (FBI), and redneck. 4. Customisation is options are limited to certain characters. For example, you can only give Franklin an afro, but you cant give it to micheal. This is only for hairstyles and beards. Clothing wise, it is generally free. 5.There really isn't much skill in shooting, you just point and click. This isnt COD or Battlefield, what were you expecting? Mastering recoil patterns for different guns? Its simple and i think it is fine that way. 6.The city and locations are very realistic and believable. It actually feels like a real city with real streets and real people. The game devs did a really good job here. 7. No gym function and you can't enter fast food locations like Cluckin Bell. 8. There is a dynamic stock market system than changes based on you ingame decisions. Invest in a certain company and then eliminate its rival company by murdering their CEO to make your shares go up is really cool. 9. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME MUSIC AND RADIO! You can also create your own radio station too btw. 10.Trevor is hilarious and fun to play. Micheal and Franklin are fun too but not as Trevor . 11.The police are hardcore. You will die really easily if you don't pay attention as you take damage quite easily. So no more dicking around with a 5 star wanted level. Multiplayer1. Loads of jobs and activities to do, ranging from the usual racing, deathmatches to parachuting, golfing, tennis, to coop missions similar to singleplayer. 2. Heist are challenging and interesting. They require teamwork, communication and coordination to be done properly. There is a really big sense of accomplishment when you complete a heist with your crew. It is possible to do this with random players as well but it depends on your luck. If you find a good player then by all means go ahead. However if you meet a person who doesn't know what they are doing, then just be prepared to restart alot 3. Load times are a big issue. 4. Crashes are quite uncommon but its annoying when it happens. 5. There is a bug when you are playing in windowed or borderless mode causing your screen to just show the restart screen when you die. 6. Matchmaking is annoying as it sometimes bugs out. You also have to disconnect from your current session to join another session. This will cause the game to enter the loading screen which is bloody long (sometimes). To make matters worse, you will only be notified if a lobby is full after disconnecting from your previous session, causing you to reconnect back to it again and this requires another loading screen. So to simplify, Current session --> join a game (deathmatch or race) ---> load screen --> lobby full --> load screen --> back to where you left off. So to finalise, this game is still worth buying despite some of its gripes because you have to be nitpicking at that point. Most of its issues are forgivable (except for that lobby full crap) because this game provides a unique experience you won't get from any other game. You will never get that heist experience from any other game. It also has a pretty good singleplayer mode and you get to have great online experience alongside that ( considering that you play with friends or members from the GUNetwork crew ). _________________ |

| Hmm, I have played a good bit of the GTA Online part now, with friends. And i have to say, its getting really repetitive.. It feels a bit like one of the korean grind mmo's at this point. _________________ ᅚᅚᅚ

| My review for GTA V PC. - Spoiler:
Design choices are copious and intense, with everything from standard quality and perspective separation conformity to a field-of-perspective slider (however its more constrained than segregating FOV players may need - modders have effectively helped that). Controls are adaptable, and you can play your own particular music library on the in-diversion radio. It's difficult to gripe much about that.
Generally, the menus are well done and feel great to use with the mouse. That is best exemplified with the web program, which feels like you'd expect exploring a website page with a mouse to feel. The one place this separates a little is in the score menus; its a bit harder to explore an Ammunation weapon store's products with the mouse than it is with a D-cushion or bolt keys, yet its still absolutely workable. It's just a little update that this wasn't initially a PC amusement.
Utilizing a mouse to shoot, then again, is adequate that it dangers making battle feel on the verge of excessively simple. I don't profess to be a splendid marksman, however in the event that you're an awful gentleman (or a cop) in Los Santos, your chances of notwithstanding making it out of your auto to begin shooting drop impressively when I'm utilizing a mouse. Without the scourge of auto-point dragging the focusing on reticule down toward focus mass, I discovered myself picking off most foes with a solitary shot to the head, particularly when playing in first-individual mode. That doesn't mean I felt strong, however; in light of the fact that the powers will never quit impending until you surrender and flee or bite the dust, they're continually going to issue you a testing battle through the heaviness of sheer numbers.
Pleasant PC-particular control touches, as not needing to mallet a secure to continue running velocity (simply hold down Shift) and having the capacity to hit a solitary catch (Caps Lock of course) to actuate an exceptional capacity make everything feel like a local PC diversion. You don't get the irritating even float when running in first-individual as you do in the PS4 and Xbox One renditions, either.
One of my most loved things about the control setup, however, is that like GTA 4 and a chosen few different diversions before it, GTA 5 gives you a chance to flawlessly swap between the mouse and console and a gamepad on the fly. No compelling reason to go into a menu and swap - simply push a catch on one or the other, and all on-screen prompts change to reflect what you're utilizing. It's a fabulous thing for an amusement like this, where running and gunning is more exact with a mouse and console however driving or particularly flying advantages enormously from the simple information of a thumbstick. You can even utilize both on the double, on the off chance that you like.
TL;DR, I recommend! _________________ The Alien in the Community

| It was definitely worth the wait for me. Playing a GTA game while running it at a constant 60 FPS? It plays like a dream! Also, call it bias, but I love the setting the for the game. Being from L.A. myself, it's nice to see so many landmarks and familiar sights while wreaking havoc across Los Santos. So much detail has been put into making this game, and it definitely shows. - KrizalidBrando wrote:

There have been some breakthroughs in that regard, actually. The OpenIV team have already found a way to access the files, and I've already seen mods in action. So far, it's just two: a mod that allows you to recruit NPCs and a Native Trainer in its early stages which acts very much similar to how the Simple Native Trainer for IV worked. I've been keeping an eye on the progress on these modders over at the LCPD:FR forums, and seeing as how much has been done already, I'm confident that we'll be seeing more mods in the future. |
