| I would like to know - What is your first impression when you first time run fallout 3 or New Vegas? I was not familiar with the first two parts of the series and was not very familiar at the time with the game industry. So when I first saw the fallout 3 I thought he was a grim and ugly, and I forgot it for a few days. But later when I decided to still understand it I opened the wonderful world of fallout. I was lost in it for hours (as now) .This amazing post-apocalyptic world stole me from the real world for a long time. Wonderful characters, a lot of stories and narratives, all I really liked. And discovering modding I immerse themselves in the game world. How was it for you? _________________ Dictum - Factum |

| I disliked Fallout 3 when I first saw it really. Graphics were kinda of meh and gameplay was the same and the animations were horrible, so I didn't put too much attention to the game. I started playing because of my brother, he started playing the game and I just watched him play (We usually do that, he watches me play or I watch him play) and realised how the story of the game was amazing, so I got into the game, for me, story is always the thing that matter, so I didn't mind all the things I said earlier because of how awesome was the story. I always hated how the characters looked so years later, I found an image of Project Beauty and I was like "I NEED THAT!!!" and that's how I discovered modding, a friend taught me how to install a mod and I got addicted . Now, Fallout is my overall favorite game and I have about 170 active mods (yes, I know i'm addicted ). _________________ |

| First time I played Fallout 3 in 2010 year, but then I didn't have much skills to make attractive character. So I came back to Oblivion. Second time when I installed and run Fallout was in december 2014, when I completely tired from Skyrim and wanted something different to rest from fantasy and dragons. I right away made character in GECK as playable race. And, to my amazement, dark and cruel post-apocalyptic world completely amazed me. The more I played, the more I was understanding, how flat and poor roleplay in Skyrim and Oblivion where You can be great hero and Head of the Dark Brotherhood at the same time. So now I do not want to come mack to boring Tamriel, at least yet. |

| I blindly bought Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360 to pass the time until Left 4 Dead came out. I had terrible first impressions of the game. I thought it was clunky, the shooting was bad, and dialogue drags on etc. I thought it was a boring, waste-of-money, game.
But let me tell you, I wasn't really into role-playing games before. I was into fast-paced games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, and Gears of War. I just liked mindlessly shooting crap up. I thought it was the fun part about games before. So transitioning from games like that to Fallout was difficult.
But I decided to give it another try after wallowing in sorrow about wasting $60 on a game. After a couple of hours of playing it, I eventually liked it! The story was engaging, grinding/leveling up is fun, and it was breathtaking to watch the scenery of The Capital Wasteland. I even kept playing after Left 4 Dead came out, it flew past right over my head without me knowing! But I was like "Eh whatever, gotta find my dad!" And still kept playing until New Vegas came out in 2010.
Also, I built my first computer just to mod the Fallout games. So yeah, i'm hooked on Fallout. |

| It was love at first sight. It was 2009 and I had never heard of Fallout, not even 1 and 2. Back then my computer sucked (it still does), so I didn't do a lot of gaming. Until my older brother let me borrow his xbox, which is when I discovered Mass Effect and Fallout (about a month apart from each other ) Even back then I loved industrial/post-apocalyptic/dystopian aesthetics, so I fell in love with Fallout 3 instantly. I still think it's a beautiful game, even without any mods. |

| I saw fallout 3 gameplay on TV and they were showcasing the rock it launcher. I found it amusing, but didn't play until few years when my friend lent it to me. I played it how i usually play games, go straight through the campaign and do any side mission that appear along the way. Seeing as how I did not really explore, I did not come up upon many side missions or gear. 3 hours in, I encountered super mutants in a museum. I ran out of ammo and had to resort to throwing mines at them and drinking out of toilets. I eventually ended up at the Washington monument with my limbs barely intact. Afterwards, my friend came over and we decided to mess around by being villainous on a new playthrough. Since I never made a hard save, this new playthrough's autosave deleted my old playthrough. I immediately uninstalled the game and never looked back until I started PC gaming.
My convinced me to get NV b/c its fairly different from f3. I was immediately hooked b/c I changed my playstyle and explored more. I loved being able to aim down my sight. After about 90 hours on a single playthrough, I decided to mod it and now I'm here. |

Just the amount the world opened up blew me away _________________ |

| The first time I played Fallout 3 I didn't understand the story. I played it on my friend ps3 and he was already halfway through the campaign. But I liked the gameplay and the environment and I decided to pick it up a few days later. After I turned it on and i understood all of the story I loved it even more. I've always been a fan of post apocalyptic worlds and the fallout universe is definitely my favorite. _________________ |

| At first I was confused, from pictures I saw etc it seemed like a open world landscape etc. so I didn't know what was going on with the Vault.
Then the moment I Got out, and the screen goes completely bright white, and your vision comes round to find an entire huge world space, I had an unbelievable feeling of excitement and adventure _________________ - My YouTube - |

| Ha, when i see vault boy logo i was thinking about a child game, never heard about fallout before, so i have saw some videos and reviews to see what was really fallout 3 and i decided to buy it. So i started fallout 3 on my x360, and boom, fall in love for it. After that, post-apocalyptic theme is my favorite genre. |

| I remember when I started FNV the first time. I talked with the doc, super exited to get out of his house and explore.. When I came out of the door and I saw Goodsprings, a mostly intact and working little town, I was really surprised. I had not expected it to look so nice, compared to FO3.
But after the initial shock, it became my favorite game. _________________ ᅚᅚᅚ

| I rented Fallout New Vegas on the Xbox 360, and I remember how charmed I was by the game when I first played it. I don't know how else to explain what I felt, besides charmed. I quickly fell in love with the game, decided to go online and see if a modding community existed for Fallout, because I was a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls series and it's modding community, and knew that New Vegas was made by the same developers who made those games, Bethesda. Of course, there just happened to be a modding community, and upon returning New Vegas to the video-store, I decided to go out and get New Vegas on PC.
That was 2012, have been playing ever since. _________________ . "Throw me to the wolves, and I will return leading the pack." ~ Unknown

| I picked up Fallout 3 at release after having played Fallout 1 & 2 in about 2003, I pretty much went into it without looking at any videos or reviews of the game and was stunned at how much of an improvement the 3D engine and game play was, it was that much more immersive though I have to say, I had some of the worst luck in my first play through.
Such as leaving Vault 101, making my way to Megaton and coming across a Deathclaw.. but I was practically hooked from the moment I launched it up, I loved Fallout 1 & 2 immensely and even though I didn't enjoy any of the Elder Scrolls games, I enjoyed Fallout 3 from the second I picked it up till the moment I completed it and started modding it, I am still playing it today. _________________ |

Yep... murder and killing sure does bring people together. Sucks to be your cousin though... he owned fallout 3 on a console. Nice story. _________________ . "Throw me to the wolves, and I will return leading the pack." ~ Unknown

| I was overwhelmed. My video game history had been a bit... "Lame" at the time. I mean it was ok but nothing like fallout 3. Its what got be going down this path of awesome games @_@ At first I didn't like it too much, I put it aside and tried other games but I came back and gave it a chance and tried to be more patient and voila. _________________ I AGREE |

| I didn't have any real impressions of Fallout 3 until I left the vault and I was just lost. I had no idea how the game worked, the was some ticking and the red meter I had no idea I was in radiation. It took forever for me to realize radiation poisoning was lowering my stats. I spent so long trying to figure out the metro system in the DC ruins. But I never wanted to stop playing either and when I figured the game out it got even more fun. |
