I found this video that helps getting higher FPS in New Vegas. It actually worked for me and I was hoping it works for at least some of you.
This is what you have to look for in your ini files. iPresentInterval
If it doesn't work, it might be because you have Stutter Remover. Go to Data\nvse\plugins and open the sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini and change MaximumFPS = 30 to MaximumFPS = 0
Don't forget to do a backup if you want to have it back to normal.

I'm just glad I can run Fallout at all on my crappy little laptop.otherwise I'd be stuck with vanilla version on the 360.Still good but I need my mods to keep me playing.

IpresentInterval is basically VSYNC. For Fallout and Skyrim. Wouldn't recommend not having an FPS cap, though. You can still not have mouse lag, and not make your GPU work harder than it needs to when you game.

Should use that, too. Cap your FPS at 60 or so-little more.

I actually posted this before I was even promoted , I thought that nobody cared about this .
@AdayDr1en I haven't have any problems, except sometimes when I'm turning around I have a massive FPS drop, but it only happens sometimes. Of course you probably know more about this stuff than I do .

okey so i got a conclusion... i normaly get 60fps with enb and stuf but i wanted to give it a try... yes you get more than 60 but v-sync get obviously fucked up so for me it's useless maybe for someone with 40-30 not

is there any console commands that let you see the actual Frames per seconds?

You could install an enb and open the performance menu,as long as your game is not paused it will display more or less your fps. Also you could install FRAPS found here : http://www.fraps.com/ It will display your fps but when running FRAPS it could cut down your fps.
If there would be a console command to show your fps it would make not much sense because you game is paused and the value would not be correct.

I was thinking more of sort of debug mode that you activate and then return to the game but thanks for the infos, now i have another good reason to finally try a enb

For the fps counter use the one that the enb gives you after you have installled the enb you can check your fps by clicking "*" on you keyboard !

I don't remember where I heard it from but apparently after going over 60 weird stuff ends up happening to your game like floating objects (Please Correct Me If I Am Wrong). So I am wondering if I should try it or not.

Been modding New Vegas for a good year now and never heard of this... only weird thing I've heard about is the theoretical mod limit (120-140)

I can't stand Vsync being disabled, personally. Too much tearing of the screen.

The glitches usually occur from unnatural speed changes (i.e. timescale).
