I heard recently that Terry Prachett, the creator of the Discworld series (good stuff, that), just passed away. Personally, he holds a special place in me bookworm heart, along with writers such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

For all you Discworld fans out here, who's your favorite character created by Pratchett? Mine's gotta be Death along with Death of Rats. Because among other things, I daresay it takes a special kind of person to name his horse Binky when he works in Death's profession, and lets not forget the timeDeath tried to be "normal".

May he rest in peace. Terry has been my favourite author since I first picked up one of his books - he had a great way of slipping little bits of wisdom and humor into his stories. I have to admit, when I first heard I shed a few tears.

My favourite character is probably either Rincewind or Ridcully. I like the idea of an antihero who runs away from everything and accidentally saves the world.

Anyone who hasn't read any of his stuff, I highly recommend that you do.
