Any cool ideas for a New Vegas quest? I got one. Maybe a detective like quest where you find a dead body around Freeside thats being surrounded by NCR troopers. You talk to the main lead who is a detective. He tells you that there has been murders in the towns of the Mojave that has been way more brutal than usual. He tells you that there has been clues, its just that they haven't gotten any luck at all piecing them together. He tells you this might be the case of a serial killer. He ask if you can help him and his team of detectives solve the murders. If you watched the film that came out in 2007, Zodiac, you'll know where I'm getting at. Maybe there could be some puzzles that are inspired by real life riddles, and the murder scenes could be extremely brutal than usual and be surrounded by NCR troopers like it would be in a real murder scene. This quest could be a side quest that is not meant for a straight mod playthrough and is meant to be played as a real murder mystery that would take time solve. Also, if you don't solve the murder cases full on through, there would be generated murder scenes over time until the serial killer is found. I don't know what to call the serial killer, but the name of the serial killer would be the name of the quest. So, what are your mod ideas?

how about you recive a radio signal from one advanced military base calling for backup , you go to location and found yourself in a middle of a war between some marines and a great horde of feral ghouls , you have to help the marines defeat the ghouls , rescue the survivors and board the vertbird
this quest will be a DLC

No offense Risenfenix,but I think bethesda wont do something like this a dlc,there is not much content in something like this,so people wont buy it or at least not much people.
But otherwise those are some good quest mod ideas.

@snowglobecolector Bethesda made a dlc about aliens, they can make anything they want to lol. I would like a dlc that would be like Point Lookout were we visit a place where it's unlivable landscape and nasty inhabitants make the place a deathtrap and there is only one safe haven and it's a town in the center of the area. Raiders, Creatures and PMC's are trying to break in and it's your job to make sure they don't.

I would like a DLC where they actually make the game scary. A dlc that even goes as far to fuck with you during playtime. I.E. A 4th wall breaking moment like the game crashes, or falsely deletes your saves.

I think Bethesda learned out of their mistakes,Zeta was a flop and personaly I hate this Dlc,it was just wasted time.
But sure you are right Bethesda can make what they want.

I liked Zeta myself, it was a pretty substantial chunk of content that was unlike anything else in the game. To each their own.

I would enjoy a good heist quest mod. something about robbing a casino, like Ocean's eleven or the italian job. just something about the courier building a team, making preparations, infiltrating the casino security, getting a powerful and rich backer. the kind off tale about revenge, professionalism, humor friends and making a great gamble: putting all your stakes on that one hand and walking away with gold, money and a great story. And getting away in a vertibird. that seems very important somehow.

But if you want to hear my here you go:
I really like the urban setting of Fallout 3 and I am missing this in New Vegas,so I would enjoy a mod wich takes you into some big cities,just like DC,with all those faction like the Talon mercs,Brotherhood ,Mutants and Raider.Wouldn't it be fun  to take cover behind some concret piles while reloading your machine gun?And then those artillery strikes like in Nellis Afb wich are forcing you to take cover and plan where you go.Operating at night with your nightvision and Infiltraiting something.Close quarter combat like in the Ranger quest from fallout 3 where you had to fight through a hospital and 4 levels of a hotel filled with Mutants.

Yeah , yes that's what I meant i want to know your idea is good idea , also realized that fallout nv does not have the same urban environment that fallout 3

I think the ability to take over Legion or NCR camps for faction you join, this would be great because the two are in the middle of a war.

Being captured and having to escape from captivity. This has to be done with the other captives, with choices much like Dead Money where you can save everyone or fuck them over to escape yourself. The ending would depend on the choices you made, and if you saved people you'd get them as companions, naturally.

I like the idea of not making all the choices by yourself though, but rather having to take risks or unsure decisions, like being made to play Russian roulette and deciding to either shoot yourself, the person facing you or attempting to shoot a guard. People have made more complex things, cutscenes even, so it's possible.

Or having the option of 2 different routes, not knowing where they lead, but some consequence from following either.
