According to IGN they have only annouced that they will be holding their first ever E3 confrence (like activisions,EA and ubisofts) I didn't see anything about a fallout 4 annoucment. however i would imagin that fallout 4 would be a great annoucement for them to have at their first ever confrence.
*edit* had a quick scout around on some other game news sites and saw nothing about fallout 4 other than speculation so no annoucment yet it seems.

The chances are 50 on 50 so we dont know what might happen but fingers crossed for Fallout 4.

I think the changes are more like 75% in favour of it being annouced after all they saw people's reactions to the survivor 2299 hoax. if they weren't working on it already they would have been after that i feel. but yeah i think it may still be a year or so before we would get the game even after the annoucment anyway.

Its almost certainly the new Fallout they're going to talk about. But I'd love it if there was more, like an early look at the next ES game.

I feel like it's a 50/50 between TES and FO4. They wanted their next game to run on the same Skyrim engine, so possibly they milk it out for one last TES game. FO4 would be sweet but I really wished for a new engine.
EDIT: Or maybe dishonored, I heard that could be possible too.

Same here. I wasn't impressed with Skyrim's engine back in 2011, much less now.
I know a lot of people are like 'omg skyrim best rpg evar!!!" but personally I think the game was a disappointment in general. Pathetic dragon fights, a terrible console port for PC, complete with awful UI, fugly textures and crappy performance on 32 bit OS (which is what most people still used back in 2011)... not to mention a PS3 version that was utterly broken for like... a year?
When people talk about how great Skyrim is... I think a lot of them are thinking about how great the mods are.

The recent main installment in Elder Scrolls series is Skyrim which was released in 2011, It's seems pointless to me to announce it at June.
Fallout 3 was released on 2008 it's almost 7 years past, Millions of people are waiting, so why not?

Skyrim ran perfect from the first day I got it, Even on a crappy Dell Vostro 1510 laptop.

oh god don't remind me. I was almost exclisivly a PS3 person when skyrim came out as i had a crappy graphics card in my pc and no money to replace it. I lost 3 80+ hour saves thanks to the save file bug before i gave up and baught a new card and skyrim in a steam sale.[/quote]

Not the same engine as skyrim, that engine was gutted from 64bit support and dx11 support, the new consoles are here, So I am guessing 64bit support DX11/DX12 this go around. If they do not announce Fallout 4 there is going to be an angry mod of die hard Fallout fans. I am sure the next Dishonored, a slim chance of Fallout 4 but not off the table, the new Doom. Those thinking an New Elder Scrolls I do not see it happening, the Bethesda team has been heavily at work on FO4. We will not see a new elder scrolls until FO4 and its dlc is finished or FO4 is finished and another studio gets put on DLC duty like say FONV with Obsidian while Bethesda worked on Skyrim. They need to step it up, need to innovate again, no excuse for 32bit games and no new visual quality bonus's of DX11 and soon DX12.

@Ansari the answer is quite simple. A) To milk the skyrim engine one more time B) Waiting a bit longer for Fallout to get the game right
What if millions of people were waiting and they do a crap job on FO4? So they may do something easier, make an TES6 and bide their time with FO4. Fallout 2 came out in 1998, Fallout 3 came out in 2008.
But than there is one factor. The release date if announced on June 14th would be a big factor. Is it going to be 2 years wait after announcement?
Remember Fallout 3 was announced in 2004 and the game came in 2008.
It pains me to say it but I rather wait for Fallout 4 for the sake of a brand new engine.
But we shall see.

I heard this too,so it is rather unlikely it will be Fallout 4 since many people will be unhappy with a FPS/RPG with this engine.I mean its 2015 and not 2010 where it was acceptable.

Diablo 3 took like 10 years to make but they did a crappy job. Now most of the Diablo 3 dev team moved to an unnamed Starcraft Project slated for 2017 release.
I hope Bethesda doesn't make that mistake.

Bethesda usually releases the game in the same year it was announced.

I agree, chances are it is most likely going to be Fallout 4, they may tease the next Elder Scrolls as well. Although they may also talk about Dishonored 2, or their other side games and maybe even a new IP. I am trying to be optimistic about Fallout 4 but it is hard for me since I have been ran over by so many Fallout 4 hype trains as it is, but this does look legit to say the least. When they do make the new games I hope they learned from their mistakes; like when they ported the PC version of Skyrim from the console version which caused instability and memory issues.

/shrug, didn't run perfect for me and I had an incredibly powerful PC at the time - it chewed up better looking games than Skyrim and spit them out. And to prepare for Skyrim, I reinstalled the OS, updated all drivers, defragged, etc. And yet the game crashed, had black textures here and there, had FPS that dipped between 60 and 15ish.
So finally I posted about it on their tech support forums, and a ton of other people who were having similar issues posted as well. Without any reply from Bethesda we found the common denominator amongst ourselves: a 32-bit OS. So I backed stuff up and reinstalled Windows 7 with the optional 64 bit install - and lo and behold, all my Skyrim problems went away. Didn't have any texture issues, any crashes, nothing. Other people in the topic I created reported similar success... that moving to a 64-bit OS solved their issues all but entirely.
It wasn't until I started playing with an absurd amount of mods that my game became even slightly unstable again.
Anyway, to get back on topic, I hope Fallout 4 is worth the wait... Skyrim doesn't give me a lot of faith, and their years of absolute radio silence bothers me intensely. For all the trashing people do on some of the AAA companies like Blizzard, Bioware, etc... at least they communicate with their players.

I actually don't remember whether I had a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows installed on that crappy laptop, But I had acceptable framrate. Let's hope Fallout 4 will use a new engine and not Gamebryo which is totally crap, I want Call of Duty style shooting with great physics.
