| Im new to the site and thought id start a new topic, i hope to do what i can to improve and partake in all the fruits that is VGU. Id like to know what you guys would like to see in the next Fallout installation. I personally would love some sort of vehicle, and also a hardcore mode done much better than it was in NV. I want to be afraid of night and have to seek shelter, i want to be wary of using one of the 4 bullets i have for my 9mm, i want to have to have bandages in store in order to stop me from bleeding out, etc. What do you guys think? Again, i hope to try and contribute to the community as much as i can and hope you guys welcome me with opening arms! |

| A less buggy engine and an engine that can handle more than 20 NPCs in a war. Also provide more support to all the modders out there. I also want to have control over something, factions, troops, mutants, whatever it is, I always wanted to command troops in a game like this and watch them marching and killing my foes (I'm pretty bad at strategy games) and build your own territory and stuff. I want a lot more but I think I'll fall asleep before I could write them all down. |

I agree with what alonewolf said controling factions would be awesome but i would also like to see a dual wield system in the game that would make fallout 4 sick and driveable cars would be cool to . |

| Tactical gameplay, sprinting, a more dark and bleak setting with a more realistic carry system. _________________ "If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. | big map, more guns, more armor, more factions, clothing physics, your player will actuly talk, maby online not like ESO kinda like GTA 5, more things to fight, more people in the waste, story revolving around vault tech, vaults are there ture size and not tiny 20 people vaults, better better BETTER graphics, more things your player can do lay down cook etc, animation for eating drinking etc, get rid of the wait system it strange to stand in the same spot for 24 hours, can see you player in first person, etc etc etc just a lot of stuff that would be cool.
AND if a random guy at his house can sit down and make a mod like dragbody or millenia FOR FREE and make it bada** then a whole game company like bethesda should be able to make a great fallout 4 |

| Pretty much everything listed by everyone else. ^ Above all though I would LOVE to see the power armor from Fallout tactics brought back into the game! But I'm not gonna get my hopes up, they didn't include it in Fallout 3 so somehow I doubt it'll be there for Fallout 4. - Fallout tactics Power Armor:

| 1. The game will use more RAM! >:[ 2. Better animations and faces. If it wasn't for mods, a quarter of New Vegas appears bizarre. (minus the mutants.) 3. More mutant varieties. Seeing the return of intelligent Deathclaws would be nice.

| They should use ENB on the next Fallout as well. And jungle/forest environments. |

| Honesty I'd just like to see a little more civilization. I understand the wasteland is a main part of the world's charm and that the world was destroyed pretty thoroughly but that was 200 years ago. Even with all the new dangers it made you would think in that time you'd see more development than just Megaton or Goodsprings, made of scrap and salvaged buildings. Now I do believe New Vegas took it a step in the right direction with The Strip and it's surrounding communities that sort of felt like actual communities, or how throughout the game you hear how the NCR is developing back in California, but I want to SEE that. Now I certainly don't want them to get rid of the wasteland but I'd like more places like the Strip or, if what some rumors of 4 say are true, maybe the Commonwealth. Places where people of the wasteland LIVE; not just survive in small, separated groups in ruins and scrap piles. I'd like to see NEW places, or at least places without rubble and broken windows everywhere, they say some of the games towns have been around decades but it looks like they just got there. You'd think in a decade someone would have shoveled the boulders out of the street or put the boards on their windows back on more strait. A bit more plant life would be nice too, like what was in Jacobstown or Zion. The flora overhaul is one of my favorite mods because I live in the desert and trust me, we have plenty of life out here... it's just not very green. |

| I know modders will always be there for us with their ENBs, so I'm not worrying about graphics and whatnot, although I know they will at least enhance the engine for the next installments of FO. As for the story I'd like them to return at the struggle of living in a wasteland swarmed by radioactive monsters (I mean, in FONV the towns are not even worry about critters, I miss cities like Megaton, armed to the teeth bc there is always danger lurking around). If they could implement the Hardcore mode it would be neat, they should do something like the Frostfall mod where the location matters and you have to dress accordingly and make campfires now and then. My biggest wish so far is that they improve the animations regarding melee combat, it would be so much more fun to use different combat styles, also the throat cutting feature from Skyrim would add a lot to the excitement of sneaking around. Little things as dodging, rolling and other details can change drastically your gameplay. I always use "noclip" to climb relatively easy spots, I mean, you don't need to be Ezio Auditori to get into some vantage points, they should add that parkour"ish" feature as well, nothing fancy, just making you able to do simple stuff is enough for me.

| I would love it if interiors weren't sectioned off into their own universes.
I always found it ridiculous that i could walk into Primm and have a gun-fight in the street (which would be audible for miles around), and have zero reaction from anyone in the Bison Steve Hotel. They should be rushing to the windows with guns! They should be on a man-hunt! They should be on high-alert for hours! But they're not because the stupid layout relies too much on interior cells. _________________ "It is a sad reality that, for most people, their prison doesn’t feel like a prison until somebody tries to break out of it. | My #1 fallout wish is that it comes out before 2016. They're either really not working on it atm, just starting, or really keeping things under wraps. |

| MORE PEOPLE!!! I hate having a fairly decent sized town with like 7 residents who don't even pay attention if any others die. Make them feel like actual cities. Way more guns (even though the modding community will add more anyway) the vanilla selection was average at best. More unique followers and NPCs in general. And for the love of sweet baby jesus a story that can't be beat within 35 minutes of starting the game. I love fallout and skyry for their replay-ability and freedom but despise these 1 hour main story-lines. Bethesda still my homies though... |

| a couple things I'd really like to see in Fallout 4.
1) A much smoother combat/shooting system.
2) It might defeat the purpose of alot of the stealth skills that we currently know, but i always enjoy stab in the back stealth kills
3) a much more unforgiving hardcore system. maybe limit the number of guns and make them much stronger. Gathering dozens of firearms in my first 3 hours of play kinda defeats the "scavenger" feel for me
4) and the MAIN THING FOR ME. I WOULD LOVE A SKYRIM-STYLE SKILL PROGRESSION SYSTEM. i like being forced to have to use my skills in order to advance them _________________ Just a simple man trying to make my way across the universe

| 1. Higher NPC count. I'll glady take randomly generated, non-permanent npc like those in GTA if it means we can have dozens/hundreds of npc on screen at the same time.
2. Improved combat system, melee and ranged.
3. Much more robust stealth mechanic. Stealth kills, non-lethal take downs, tranquilizers, hide bodies, distractions, baits, etc.
4. Gear variations - for the same base armor/weapons, there should be a couple of different variations/decors that provides some visual variety.
5. Better engine optimization. With current gen, there is no reason not to go 64 bit. |

| 1) A Release date
Seriously though I'd like
1 ) An engine enable that cam handle a high number of npcs without crashing. seriously they boast so much in FO3 that DC is a warzone and crawling with Mutants.. when you get there theres only ever 1 - 3 at a time and with mods to increase spawns the time in-game is extrememly limited due to random crashing.
2) Companions with personality and story arcs even if there is less of them like in New Vegas, I rather have a few memorable ones then a bunch of faceless mercs/
3) The native ability to have all companions at once, I love the idea of big parties plus its the wasteland! its a danger place and your usually undertaking a big mission why not have a large squad/party? speaking of which...
4) take a page from JIP Companions Command and Control, squad commands take up battle positions where you order them too, guard an area, unlock doors if able, heal if able, repair if able, etc.
5) Don't nerf Melee, to me it feels like the melee in the Elder Scrolls game is so much better then in FO3 and NV rather then having different swings, shields, etc its just boring swing swing.
6) Kill Animations like in TESV:Skyrim for Melee and Guns. Perhaps if your close enough you can do a speical kill animation with your equipped gun.
7) Bows and Crossbows.

| There are some awsome suggestions here already. i have a few things i would like to see. i particulaly like the suggestion of being able to layer armour/clothing. i want to be able to look unique from every one else. Bigger map I want it to be massive, i want it take a long time to walk from one place to anouther. I also want it to be populated with a ton of places to explore. more npc's as other people have said fallout can feel a little empty sometimes so i want to see a lot of wildlife and enemys in the game. more Variaty in npc's and creatures fallout can some times suffer from too many npc's looking/sounding the same and it's about time that changed. better movment by this i mean being able to vault walls and climb fences. in a way that looks and feels natural. more immersive elements i would love to see animations for interacting with ojects. so if you click to open a door the charater reaches out and opens the door or picks up an object that kind of thing. if you eat or drink something then your character will show the approprite animation. Vehicles with a bigger map also means you need a good way to get around. drivable vehicles would be great replacement for fast travel. Better shooting mechanics I just want the hit scan to be replaced with a better system as it's not a great system. better companion system i want lots of control over companions. every thing from walking formations, to weapons and armour and assigning roles. Weapons and Armour i want lots of new and varied weapons to destroy my foes. more armour and armour types more slots for accesories. as @Obdulio said Bows and crossbows, they have always felt like they should be in the game as humans have been making bows for centurys. Better Stealth/sneak mechanics sometimes i want to sneak around and i feel like the sneak skill could be improved upon. Better skill system i think that for a lot of the skills in game could be better intergrated mechanicly than they currently are now. Weather just look at nevada skies to see what it can add to the game. Survival elements playing in hardcore was great but it could be improved upon a great deal. they could add in deseases and improve on the hunger and thurst. well thats all i can think of right now but im sure theres more lol. also sorry for the wall of text but once I started thinking about it the more i thought of. |

| I would like: More NPCs, to create a more immersive and more fun experience.
More Quests with great stories, that affect the game, not just little fetch quests like in Skyrim.
More Diverse weapons. I want weapons that use a variety of ammunition and lots of them!
Improved combat system and AI. I would like more fluid shooting mechanics along with AI that react to you better than they did in previous games.
Better Sound. I never really liked the sounds in the last Fallout games, and I would like a more real sounding game.
NO SKYRIM LEVEL SYSTEM. Please. I like experience through questing, not grinding skills for hours.
Better combat animations. I would like it if melee weapons and unarmed didn't feel so fake. I want a more visceral experience when it comes to melee combat. I would also like the combat animations (reloading, standing, holding weapons) to be better, like in weapon animation replacers.
More perks, and a configurable perk per level system. Like I can choose whether I want a perk every level, every two levels, and so on. I want the level system to go to at least 75 so I can get more of the perks. And if there are more perks, it makes you think about what you really want.
Thats about it for now. _________________ |
