So recently i have installed dragbodys race mods and i took all the eyes and hair out of the sack at doc mitchell's and i was wanting to put them back for later but it will not let me remove modded quest items any way to fix this thanks- XRhino

You could probably go into G.E.C.K. or FNVEdit and change them to not be quest items, but I assume they're quest items so that you don't lose them when you're stripped of all your inventory during certain quests, i.e. Dead Money.

If you want to put them back for later, as in not use them for a while and put them back where you found them, I'd just say to disable the mod, save, and then re-enable it when you want to use it. Then everything will be back where it started.

If you open the console while looking at the item in your pip-boy and click on them it should give you the item code for whatever you click on, you can then remove the item by typing player.removeitem (the item code) (quantity you want to remove). If clicking on the name in the pip-boy doesn't work, try using player.inv to view your inventory, then finding what you want to remove through there.

The SetQuestObject <base id> 0 console command can be used to clear the quest flag from items. This is useful when your inventory is cluttered with items from quests that have been completed and no longer have a purpose.

This is what I usually do to get rid of quest items. To find the item base id you can use FNVEdit and get the base id from there.
