| This seems odd but mandatory. It continues to irk me that I can't hit tab while typing in this.
I've enjoyed the fallout games for a number of years now. I love the immersion they can provide. Unfortunately, I find the vanilla games can be lacking in that department amongst others. I'm currently finding myself bored by the fantasy genre do to it being massively available across every possible medium at the moment. Fallout is a great alternative. Though, from a role playing perspective, New Vegas is unideal for me do to a grand dislike of cowboys.
I've very unsure what else to put here so I shall put a spattering clutter of potentially relevant things:
I've tried to figure out how to create my own mods to very little success. I think a mod that provided a lightly armored pea coat would be brilliant, not sure why it's a thing I want in FNV. I also think a Michael Fassbender esque head model would be stellar; taste and preference in regards to modding is strange. I would be massively appreciative of any and all help people can provide in regards to a translucent gun issue I'm having (http://vgunetwork.forumotion.net/t2484-help-with-translucent-guns#). I find it very strange that the public release forum only goes back to the end of august for me. Things, and stuff, and words.
To anyone that made it this far: I apologize and thank you for your wasted time. |

| Hey man, welcome. Oh and your problem I think it has something to do with soft focus or something like, I don't think it's a problem with DOF. _________________ |

| @Attolis hello and welcome to VGU so your having a translucent guns problem? I think i may be able to help you with that, but first, i need to know what you are using to run your game, like 4GB enabler, FOMM, NVSE, FOSE, Steam, etc, plus a list of all the mods you have added to your game so i can pinpoint where your problem may be coming from (this includes any shader packs or enb's you have installed) |

| Wow, thank you all for the small but kind reception. I'm quite surprised. |

| Try this http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35615/? this is a Depth of view toggler. install it, and active this in your game through pipboy > AID > Dof options > Enable Subtle DoF if it still dosen't work, you will also need to check your RenderInfo.txt file, found under the same directory as your .ini files, and near the bottom the file check which shader package it uses (e.g. Shader Package : 13). Then go to the \\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\Shaders\ folder and rename that particular package to something else (e.g. rename shaderpackage013.sdp to shaderpackage013._bak. Now copy shaderpackage017.sdp and paste it back into the same directory, and rename this new copy to the package name your card uses (e.g. rename it to shaderpackage013.sdp in this example). This will supposedly force FNV to use the Shader Model 3.0 shaders in the game." P.S. if you cant find your RenderInfo.txt file its under My computer > libraries > documents > My games > FalloutNV |
