Subject: High fps and good looking enb? Tue Nov 11, 2014 3:03 pm
I was playing new vegas ,with enbs for a long time ,I noticed that I have something like 10 to 14 fps with enb on,I turned them off and I got up to 60fps
My question is: Is there a fps friendly enb?
It looks really beautifull when playing with enbs but 14 fps this is.... just awful.
Is there something to get higher fps ??
Thanks in advance for your replies
If it is important I am using this enb here:

For me I get like 80 fps without with a lot of mods and 60-40 with almost every ENB, including ENB of the Apocalypse, and that is a pretty performance friendly one if I'm not mistaken. Do you have any other mods that can tax your system like project reality or a large texture pack? Because sometimes with mods like that it really bogs down my performance after a little while in game. But if that's not your problem and it's really just that ENB then you could try Old World, Onix, Or blackout, those aren't that demanding inn my experience. Also have you tried the performance version of ENB of the Apocalypse?

I use Dynamo ENB. I get close to no performance loss and it looks fantastic. Check it out!

What are your specs? I could prolly recommend a good enb with low performance drop. Also in the enb setting disable depth of field and detailed shadows. If that doesn't help disable everything except adaption.
Edit: If you get below 30 fps in the vanilla game you may not be able to use any enbs i would just recommend Ojo Bueno and some lighting overhauls or maybe even nevda skies for the best look without much performance lose. I would Recommend NMCS textures but I don't know you specs so that might be hard on your pc. Ojo bueno has better performance Than nmcs

My personal favorite ENB is the Hitman ENB found here on VGU. Check some of the screenshots out to get an idea for it/

I allready have everything except ojo Bueno ,I dont like it.
I edited the Apocaliptic enb so now I have up to 20fps,feels much better now without a enb my game goes up to 60 so my specs are ok.
@Maybenexttime The Hitman enb???I guess it is not a public mod?

Out of all the ENBs I've used, I suggest giving enhanced shaders a shot. It might not have the most eye candy, but the performance to appeal ratio is stellar.

You could try my RUST ENB. It was designed for nice visuals and goof performance (fps). I've had users confirm it's great on performance. look for it in public files.

I'm currently using Midhrastic ENB. It's on the Fallout 3 nexus, but you can use it with New Vegas. I like it because it gives off an apocalyptic vibe. It's super easy to uninstall if you don't like it or have performance problems because it doesn't have tons of files like most ENBs.

You could always try my Wanderer's ENB with the new RWL version, friendly to performance, with a quality look, while keeping the post apocalyptic radioactive feel of fallout. It's located on the public release section.

I saw it looks great,I am going to try it out later ,right now I am trying to get Dynamo enb over 20 fps,14 or 16 fps (in interiors up to 30) are too low to play
@tru3th are you going to release something like a performance version of your enb??

@snowglobecollector that would basically just be the ENB with depth of field and advanced shadows turned off, which you can do to the regular ENB in like 2 seconds, so releasing one would be kind of pointless. But I might make an alternate ENB in which I focus on balancing performance with looks, but we'll see, as performance isn't really a concern of mine.

The bad part about having a poor computer... good quality vs. good gameplay.
