I get the message "the mod was not installed. the file exists." This happens for mods like Gopher's Weapon Animation Replacer FOMOD and The MCM and Weapon Configuration Menu. Please help me! I've deleted the Mod install info from NMM and reinstalled new vegas!

Did you follow his tut exactly? Those mods require special attention when configuring and also NMM and FOMOD don't mingle well with one another and often cause problems with your mods. What manager are you using when you install said fomod?

NMM for FOMODs but when i use FOMODs on FOMM the esp doesn't show up OR in this case WAR won't even get installed it'll take 30+ hours to install.

30 hours? what the hell?, you obviously installed fomm wrong, reinstall and when it asks you to set up a root to you new vegas folder make sure your choosing the right path ways. Also have you tried installing WAR on NMM only? I don't recommend FOMM considering its outdated and the BSA feature it gives can be easily downloaded on the nexus. Let me know what happens!

I use FOMM, so I can't really say anything for NMM, but as far as I know, the .esp for those mods doesn't show, you just install them and that's it. Install them and see if you have them in game.

I'm not sure if its the same issue but I remember reading a post a while back from someone who was having a similar issue where they weren't able to install mods because they were getting an error that the file already existed. The solution of them was to clear out their temp folder.

I've never had this issue myself but I sorta made note of the fix just in case. Not sure if it will work for you though.

i use NMM for installing fomod type files.
sometimes NMM will ctd, but its okay, just reopen NMM and install it again, it will be installed.
