| Hey all,
I'm running into some trouble with FNV Edit and could use some help. I've been attempting to combine all my single weapon mods into a single ESP to reduce the amount of plugins burdening my game.
This is what I do.
1. Load up FNVEDIT and set New Vegas and Dead Money as my ESMs, along with around 7 ESPs. 2. Created a merge patch. 3. Set the the masters of the newly created ESP: This is where I run into an issue, most of the time the New Vegas ESM would not be in the list of ESMs to choose from. My second master I need, Dead Money, will be though. 4. If the New Vegas ESM manages to load, I think it worked if I don't apply Dead Money, I merge the ESPs with the "Copy Override option." This is probably the main issue as I constantly get the error message "only group records can be added to files."
I've looked through the FNV manual a bit, but haven't found anything relevant. Any ideas? |

| You should get the Mod organizer on the skyrim nexus it is a good tool for merging files, and you have to get the 1.75 patch for merging
Then try it again ,you will find the esp/esm file in your Mod organizer folder.
You also ought watch a tutorial on youtube |

It's easier, just open a file as a base, then choose Merge Plugins then just select the plugins you want to merge. You have to do one at a time, though. Then press Save As when you're done (if you want it to be a new plugin) or press save and it will overwrite the base plugin you opened at first. Remember to uncheck the plugins you merged. And once you merge it and you're holding it in game, it might disappears and restart to it's old location. So keep that in mind. |

| Alonewolf: Thanks for the FNV plugin recommendation. It actually did the trick! The only thing I have to figure out now is what mod is causing my weapon animations to go off the fritz. Gun won't even points straight anymore. XD Snowglobe: Thanks for the link as well. I may give it a shot if the FNV plugin gives me a lot of complications. _________________ “We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.” - Alan Turning
