Who, in your opinions, is the worst companion to have in the entire fallout franchise?

I never liked dogmeat. Not just to be contrary to people's favorite old pooch, but he gets in the damn way when there's not a fight and I'm just trying to go through a door, and manages to disappear when I could use his help. At least with Rex in New Vegas, changing his brain made vast improvements to how he fought.

@"EyeShotFirst" I'm with you. Dogmeat disappeared on me and was never seen again every time I would fast travel. I went to every single location he could be at and I never saw him again. I feel like it's a Shaun situation, perhaps Dogmeat was captured by the Institute when I wasn't looking or perhaps Dogmeat was a synth this whole time and he broke down.

Butch DeLoria. That punk-ass bitch. I don't remember how good he was in a fight(probably not good at all),but everytime he opened his mouth he had something stupid or condescending to say. Funny thing is,even though I hated the guy,I had him follow me around. Not as a companion,no. But as my personal punching bag. Getting aggravated because that feral ghoul reaver has already killed me 5+ times? Unload some buckshot into Butch's face. Instant relief.

Having only played FO4, My pool is quite small compare to the rest of yours. But for me I will have to give it to Ada from Automatron. Not a great DLC, too short in my opinion and no perks at the end of it?
Why do it even exist? I might as well take Cosworth or Curie.

Piper. Purely for the fact that I'm always forced to interact with her, even if I don't want to play the main story. If you wanna go to Diamond City? You've gotta go through Piper...

I agree with IIHawkerII, I hate piper simply by the fact that the game shove her down my throat at every turn of the main quest. At the door why not I need someone to introduce me the city but the worst part is when you go back to see valentine before the memory den and she is just there trying to get a scoop out of valentine and just butts in when you decide to go to the den.

Not only is he useless in combat but he also gets owned by a junkie who is high on the drug that he created lol.

For me my least favorite companion would have to be Jericho in Megaton. He just seems like a total dick but I've only done one "evil" playthrough of Fallout 3. A close second would have to be X6-88 from Fallout 4 mostly because he just seemed tacked on as an "Institute companion."

Craig Boone is an annoying person who I just want to yell at. He just stays so depressing and even by the end of the quest doesn't stop being flat and annoying. He should've just been an NPC at most. I would rather pick Manny Vargas and help him on a quest to retire or desert the NCR since he gives hints of it.

Butch.

Whiny, annoying, no redeeming story or character elements. Butch is a bully who never really stops being a bully and while that's not an issue there's no real character development or anything interesting about him outside of screaming about tunnel snakes.

As if that weren't bad enough he sucks in combat.

I think Cass had the least character development in FNV, but just my opinion. If someone could convice me otherwise, I would appreciate it.

Quite a few of them... Ian with an SMG, the Pariah Dog, Myron, Sticky, Piper and Preston. Out of those... Piper and Preston tie for worst in my opinion.

Sulik is pretty annoying, especially if you're doing an unarmed/melee run. He's strong as hell, but he just constantly pushes people away with his attacks. You have to waste like half your action points just keeping up with Sulik and his NPC-golf shenanigans. I always trade him out for a better companion ASAP.

Actually, Fallout 4 had some of the worst companions of any Fallout game in my opinion.

Anyone who says anyone other than Preston is someone I don’t understand. This mother fucker practically ruined Fallout 4 single-handed. I might have enjoyed the game, but Preston woke me up and gave me the lenses through which I saw through that bullshit of a game.
