Hi there everybody, I'm bosslog and I'm here because of two FANTASTIC games, Fallout 3 and Fallout: NV. Both quite different, but two of my favorites nevertheless. Easily have over 1000 hours in each tittle, gotten all the achievements and done all sorts of miscellaneous nonsense, but it's all been on ps3. Ugly, glitchy, unstable PS3. Don't get me wrong I've loved them all the same, but I've always been envious of the fancy PC gamers with their 60fps and their ability to walk around in old world blues without having the game freeze every hour.

But times have changed and, finally, I have gotten the spare funds to build a PC. I've wanted this for years and now I have two goals for myself; make fallout 3 and (primarily) fallout New Vegas SHINE! I want to make these old games play with some stability, and I want to make them BEAUTIFUL! Now I don't know the first thing about modding and honestly it's a little intimidating, but I'm hoping to find all sorts of files and mods to turn my favorite adventure through Nevada into a work of art!

So thanks for anybody that took the time to read this, I'm a quiet dude who doesn't say much, but if you ever wanna talk about some fallout with me, I'll chew your ear off!

That is so helpful thank you very much!! The best help I had found so far was a video on YouTube that starts off saying it isn't for people who are new to modding (ie me). Appreciate the direction, these videos look much easier to follow, and actually give instructions for me to follow :-D

I'll be following along with these now, but I still have a variety of mods I'm aware of that I would like to add that aren't included here, so I will still have some science to do. But now I get an introduction at least!

You are very welcome. Gopher's videos are an excellent starting point, I know they where for me. Anyways, good luck on your foray into the wonderful world of modding. It's an exciting place to be in, and there are mods for everyone tastes. Have fun!

Welcome to GUN. Everyone here has different experiences from different gaming backrounds and platforms. I remember back in the day my friend and I had Fallout 3 on the console, I has a 360 and my friend has the PS3 version. When he got off the boat at Point Lookput, the game crashed and corrupted his save file. Within five minutes of showing me his game, and him bragging about how good the PS3 was, it had completely chewed up his save. Save to say that the PS3 version of the game was pretty shit.

Anyways, thanks for introducing yourself as it is easy to forget to do so whena new member joins. If you're having trouble and it is not something covered by Gopher's guides, don't hesitate to ask as there is a troubleshooting topic here on GUN. 9/10 times if you're having an issue, it's something that someone, somewhere will have encountered before.

@Voyevoda1 funny coincidence; I also played fallout 3 on my PS3, but unlike your friend I did not brag about my machines capability to play this less then well built, massive game (for the time at least). I had the game crash countless times, still does to this day, and I too lost my first character to a bug eating my save.

That being said, should be a non-issue at this point given I'm finally playing on PC soon :-)
