| Hi everyone I just wanna know what are some of the best mods for third person idle animations and gun animations. I'm trying to put third person animations but the problem is when I walk when my gun is out it has this awkward animation as if he's pretending to hold the gun but he isn't, it's complicated to explain and I'd have to provide a screenshot so you could see what I mean but yeah I just wanna know some good mods for third person, preferably something that makes your character look relaxed but badass at the same time. Another thing if you don't mind, if anyone happens to have the dynamic camera mod, what is a good setting for third person to make it more Mass Effect looking? Thank you. _________________ |

| @Ghostily Hello again. For third person animations,I'd recommend WAR animation replacers : https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38527 I'd also use the FOMOD installation for it : https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43240 Just make sure you download both mods and follow the instructions for the second. _________________ |

| Same as the above, use Weapon Animation Replacers (aka W.A.R.). It's a good animation mod for third person players. You can also go for hitman's sneak animations in the nexus under the modpage called Animation Resources. It's compatible with WAR so you wouldn't have any problems with that. Another mod I had in mind was aarius' vertical holster mod. What it does is it changes the way your rifles are holstered from a slanted position to a vertical placement on your character's back. I don't know if it's still here in GUN, but I do know that aarius was alright that the mods he made are alright for sharing now. |

| @"zodiac213" Compatible with solid project mod? Also so I downloaded the mods you linked properly and it let me choose the animations I want but nothing really worked out because none of them really made it. I get this animation when I'm walking and it doesn't look right. _________________

| @Ghostily As far as I know there shouldn't be any incompatibilities. _________________ |

| @Ghostily I've never seen that before. A few questions;are you using a mod manager? If so,which one? And do you have any other animation mods installed that could possibly be conflicting? _________________ |

| @"zodiac213" I'm using FOMM and no I don't I made sure those are the only ones. To make sure, is there a specific file where I would find any animation mods that I may have that aren't those? I just tried it again and don't get me started on the running, It's almost like Naruto, the arms are just down not moving at all and he's just running with the gun down. _________________ |

| Did you install just the base WAR mod or did you use the FOMOD installer in the second link? If you used the FOMOD,did you follow the instructions from the Gopher video on there? _________________ |

| @"zodiac213" I downloaded both the required mods then downloaded that mod and it let me choose which animations I want so I chose, got into the game, and it's still the same. I have gotten these mods to work before, I remember using it no problem back then so I don't know why it's giving me an issue now. I'll see what Gopher does differently that I may be missing.
@"chrocsichrocs" I did download the asurahs animations mod before I downloaded these yes, I totally can see that being the problem but thing is I deleted it, not sure if it's completely gone though and I don't know where to go in my files and what specifically to delete to get rid of asurahs animations mod, mind helping out? I really feel like it's the asurahs animations mod. _________________ |

| Sounds as if it could be conflict of WAR and Asurah's. It's possible you didn't fully uninstall the mod and there are some remnants left in your game directory. Unfortunately since you use FOMM,you'll have to manually go into the FNV data folder and check for yourself. Redownload the Asurah pack manually, open the zip file and navigate the folders. Than do the same in your FNV data folder and see if there are any identical files. If so,delete those. Than reinstall WAR. That's the best I can say. _________________ |

| @"zodiac213" So I just see any names that look the same from the mod and delete those? I'm afraid of deleting something that is essential for the game, is it risky? _________________ |

| The most important stuff should be in bsa files in the data folder. They'll be called stuff "Honest Hearts.BSA" or something along those lines. Those are the bulk of the official game files. Most other stuff you see in the data folder should be mod related. I would say that you could always do a verify game integrity check through steam if you're worried, but that could potentially erase mod files. Can't say much else cause I haven't fidgeted around with FOMM in a long while since I migrated to MO2. _________________ |

| @"zodiac213" Hey so good news, I deleted all of Asurah's files and it's gone for good and now I'm good! Bad news is the animations still aren't working and I'm now with the default game animations. _________________ |

| Have you re-installed WAR? You probably had to delete some of its files too because of naming.
Also worth mentioning, you can still use the Asurah's and WAR together, you just have install only WAR's third person animations.
But, yeah, it is worth the switch over to MO2. File management is so easy and "uninstalls" are as easy as a clicking a check mark. |

| @"athenanValkyrie" I decided to just stick with Asurah. Can you help me with something regarding Asurah? I don't want the third person animation it brings for the pistol, how can I turn that into the vanilla version? _________________ |

| The 3rd person animations should be found under caracter, the pistol ones are usually have the prefix 1h in their name, easiest thing would be to decompress asurahs mod, take these out, and experiment a bit. Hope this helps |

| Asurah's is in a rocky place ATM. I know hit a few major hiccups before the holidays and those were only compounded with making it compatible with WMIM. Though if I recall correctly, Asurah's didn't have too many third person animations.
But, yeah, unfortunately it is a matter of trial and error with finding which animation matches up with which weapon tag. From what I recall, most are fairly clear with there names. It could get dicey if you don't know which animation a custom uses.
But, during the trial process, simply adding ".hidden" would be the easiest way to see which files effect what. Also for integrity, so you aren't deleting a bunch of random files. |
