SOLVED: i get the error "0x0000x1b program could not start" when i have any enb of any kind installed,
any assistance.

What Fallout game and what ENB?

Hello good sir, can you please provide more details? Is this a Steam Error, or does the game show this error via it's task?

And is this for Fallout NV, Fallout 4, or Fallout 3?

So you have a stable and tested running FONV? So if that is true then there must be something about where or how you're installing the enb binaries and files.

Could be a lot of things, unfortunately. Does the game run without an ENB? Also, check and make sure that you've updated DirectX.

I was just dealing with an issue related with ENBs, do you have NVSE installed and also, do you have a 4GB patch installed? Are you on Windows 10? I also need to know if you can run the game without an ENB so I can determine whether or not it's game related. I'm not getting any hits on google with any error codes of this nature, are you sure thats the right error code?

See if the game will start without the d3d9.dll. If it starts up, try updating DirectX like @GamerRaizen suggested. Also, go to steam/steamapps/common/fallout new vegas/redists/directx/DXsetup. Run that and see if it works.

Well, I have the same problem now. It's incomprehensible. I have just decided to change my ENB and after that nothing works anymore. Though the game runs fine without the ENB d3d9.dll file. I have Windows 10. I don't know what to do and I seriously need help guys... Any ENB expert here?

Could you please copy your enblocal ini and paste it on a reply because it seems to be an error from a bad configuration.

I've finally found a solution: strange thing is, my FalloutNV.exe was in compatibility mode (W7). I have disabled it, simple enough (seriously...). And IT JUST WORKS!
Thanks anyway, I am now able to play and take screenshots again!

ive updated my direct x more then a few times, and im gonna try another install of this game but before it was running quite nicely.

likdatatertot - You said it wouldn’t work with any preset you were using?
How many did you try? And which ENBs exactly?

Or have you already sorted this problem out?
