| The more I hear about 76 the more anxious I am. It's design decisions are more than a different take on Fallout, it really is an entirely different concept using the Fallout brand and that bothers me. Perk cards in a Bethesda game, really? Exploration will be the only element in common with other Bethesda titles, and while it could be fun, it's looking even less like something I'd want to play. At least Elder Scrolls online really is a Elder Scrolls themed MMO with all its exploration, quests, world building and character building system. Even if it is a stock standard MMO at it's core.
We will know more when the beta is out, though I really hope it is early access, because it releases in November that just isn't enough time to address significant issues in play testing. |

| I personally like the idea of perk cards for Fallout 76. If players want to more easily get the specific cards for their specific build it's going to mean that players are going to have to trade and cooperate, this will hopefully discourage grief as players will be less likely to trade with players who are likely to stab them in the back. _________________ Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do!

| Well im just scrolling down on youtbe too see more about the new system of fallout 76 now we got more intel about pvp so from what i saw that you can only pvp when you reach lvl 5 if you kill a person without their agreement on pvp you get a bounty on your head and everyone can kill you to get money and xp and if you were kill by the one that you kill previous then he will get double money and xp i think that this system can be use as a mining station because you just need to get a bounty many times and your friends kill you then he will get more moneyy |

| It's foolish to expect a decent single-player skills/perks/levels system from a multiplayer PvP game with no NPCs.
This is probably the best we're going to get. |

| The cynic in me sees the perk cards as a way for them to easily sell you card packs. But on the positive side at least they can add as many perks as they want with this system, being limited to 70 slots in F4 is dumb. |

| well, I don't know that much but, looking at through various media outlet, youtube, quakecon playthrough & such, well to me the perks ain't that really.. hmm how do i say this? well, fo76 perk cars is more like it predecessor in fo4, in easy word; boring, kinda boring looking perks, it just, more numbers & numbers, percentage over percentage, max dmg max this & that. but yeah, no offense whatsoever, what am I really interested in is that mutation kind of trait system on how it work, could be good improvement over the old ones huh? |

| I think it could definitely be done better. The perks have the kind of generic Bethesda take on things where you only get number increases, as opposed to actual significant changes. Most of the cards are just things like "50% health regeneration," or "10% more damage in VATS." Pretty much every Bethesda game since oblivion has been doing this, and so it's not that surprising. Nonetheless, I was still slightly hoping for more. At least from what I've seen, there's nothing really fun to be had with them, and so I think it's a pretty big letdown. I doubt we'll see anything near as good as Meltdown or Jinxed in the game, which is really too bad. Building flawed/glass cannon/speciality builds is half the fun of most RPGs, and so it's unfortunate that we're just going to get another jack-of-all-trades-esque system.
As for how they're implemented, I don't really care or mind it. Experimentation is fine, and if it honestly turned out so bad that everybody hated it, they could always patch around it. |

| It is an interesting idea. It allows a degree of customization that allows a player to be distinct from the others but at the same time doesn't require heavy investment in time since you can just swap them out (based from my understanding of the mechanics).
I would be surprised and disappointed if BGS adds purchasable loot boxes(using real money) in a casual game like this knowing the gaming community's sentiment towards the issue.
Fallout 76 is more like a soft core Rust IMO with their earnings coming from the base game + cosmetic purchases from the creation club and using player mods(if they manage to make that work) to increase play time. You can just leave a session and pick up where you left off without fear of losing progress. _________________ Will there be enough Dakka? |

| its something, I guess, I don't really feel strongly about it either way. One thing I will say is that people sure seem confused about it, countless subthreads on twitter became arguments about how "the cards are random" and "No, you get a random pack every five levels." and "THAT MEANS THEY'RE RANDOM."
Also, no loot-boxes, they said on twitter you only get the cards by leveling up. _________________ Be wary, or become a lonely boy. |
