| With the suspension of the Fallout Capital Wasteland project, what mods would you suggest to create a more Fallout 3/NVish 'feel' within Fallout 4? Could be anything - weapons, ENB, environments, gameplay changes..etc I think in particular I'm looking for a more Fallout 3-esque playthrough, hopefully with a recreation of 3's gloomy and desolate atmosphere.
I know a good starting point would be "Be Exceptional", but I was wondering what other mods you guys would suggest.

| Anything associated with the Pilgrim mod and ENB. Its overall look is a lot like what I felt Fallout 3 was going for. I've been using it for the last couple of months, and it just feels so right. Reminds me of the Point Lookout DLC. Real foggy, almost lacking of colour, and just an overall creepy feel. It also features custom music, so the level of despair and hopelessness is stronger than ever. Has its own weather mod built in as well. |

| The R-91 assault rifle would be a good one. It was a staple of FO3. Wasteland imports is good as well, lots of items from NV. Also wasteland Melody has a Chinese assault rifle that brings back memories, If you use this though I would recommend War daddys animations for it. |

| Fallout 3 or New Vegas-ish within Fallout 4? The game is vastly different from those games though, so I don't think its possible to do that even with mods in mind. I guess for the environment Dustbowl is a good try for a NV-ish world, plus use the Bullpup Bozar, Caravan Shotgun, Varmint Rifle, and NCR Ranger Armor, and NCR Trooper armor mods in the nexus and I think that's the closest to NV as it can get. Oh and get the M1-Garand mod.
For a fallout 3-ish world, I guess its easier to do that since Fallout 3 and 4 isn't that different from each other in terms of clutter in the environment. I do recommend you get Scorched Earth for the dead wasteland feel that's similar to the Capital Wasteland. You can also get the R91 Assault Rifle, Wasteland Melody's Chinese Assault Rifle with Wardaddy's animation for it. There is also a Chinese Pistol again with Wardaddy's anims for it. However, if you're willing to take it up a notch, go get the DKS-501 Sniper Rifle in the nexus to complete the set. For the armors, you don't have to get too much mods for that since the vanilla fo4 armors somehow fits FO3's art direction anyways (you know, rugged-y, dirty, torn-up piece of shit clothing with bulky armors). Lastly, you CAN try to use Calamity Weathers in the nexus. It makes the game...uhhh..gritty and dark, which I think can compliment Scorched Earth and Vivid Textures AIO pretty well. Oh get Adventurer Outfit with the Altyn Helmet, and Holstered Weapons by azar. Its basically a PUBG-esque set, but hey it fits well in the world.
Really, considering the massive turn with FO4's art direction, modding the game to be near FO3 and NV is challenging af. I changed everything from environment, to armors, to weapons, and even to the BGM and SFX in-game jesus christ. I gave up on it since, to me, its a waste of time trying to mod the game into something that it is not. That's just me of course. |

| For a New Vegas feel I would use Dead Skies Weather in conjunction with Dustbowl Overhaul for a sandy, gritty wasteland. As for Fallout 3, Calamity Weathers is a pretty good gloomy weather and lighting mod. _________________ |

| There are a lot good weapons out there from previous games in the wasteland, a lot of them are from Deadpool2099 on Nexus. Definitely LTCOMMANDER’s DKS-501 Sniper Rifle mod. The Be Exceptional Mod changes the perk system back to something similar to the ones in 3 and New Vegas. There’s some mods that bring back segments of the Enclave and BoS Outcasts that are worth a play through. Mojave Imports is good one that brings in a lot of little things from New Vegas, like Sunset Sarsaparilla and books/magazines. One I just recently started using was Insult to Iniury, which brings in more survival aspects from New Vegas. _________________ "they asked me how well I understood theoretical physics.
