Besides Obsidian,do you guys think that there are any other companies that could make a good Fallout game if ever given the chance? And why?

CD Projekt Red, does not need explanation.

I'd say Bioware, before the ME Andromeda release, but not anymore lol.

Maybe Rockstar, they're pretty damn good innovating.

Idk, nothing more comes to my mind about good RPG games companies besides them and Obsidian.

Many companies are able to make a good RPG in the post-apocalypse world, but none of them will be able to invest in it a piece of soul and that atmosphere, even if Bethesda managed to make mistakes in some aspects Fallout 4. I'm afraid even imagine what Fallout might turn out to be performed by other companies, the reality is that now every company does well only those games that are franchises, Ubisoft does Assassins and Far Cry, Rockstar does GTA, CD Project Red makes the Witcher, perhaps let it remain, if tomorrow I wake up and betas. Yes, along with the Obsidian will cease to exist and my favorite Fallout will be no one else to do, you can try to give it up Ubisoft seems to be not very sounding, perhaps for their experience of creating Wildlands, Far Cry and The Division, if all this is combined and flavored with the atmosphere of a Fallout could have something playable, but my opinion at the moment is that it would be better to do this Bethesda and Obsidian.

Hmmm I'm thinking of 2K since the Bioshock series had really good writing, atmosphere, and weapons. Also, their creativity in world building and use of themes in their games seems fitting for Fallout. I actually want Fallout to have mature themes, preferably those that really make you uneasy when you see your character do it. For instance, I want Fallout 5 to have a mission that will let you work with a Raider group and you're given a chance to mutilate a wastelander and hear him/her scream in agony.

@njmanga097 Yeah exactly! i forgot about 2K, great company, played all Bioshock games and i just finished The Darkness 2, though short is an amazing game!

I'm going to kind of cheat and say Troika Games. The guys that made the original Fallout. They felt like they lost control over the franchise, left and formed their own studio. The same studio that brought us Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines (Excellent game by the way) and Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. However the studio is now defunct and most of its employees are now a part of Obsidian.

If I had to choose someone else, my money is on Larian Studios, the guys that made the Divinity: Original Sin series, they seem to be pretty ambitious. Lastly, CD Projekt Red. They rock.

Definitely CD Projekt Red. It might take them forever but in the end I think we’d get a really immersive game with a phenomenal story.

If I had to choose, it would be Ubisoft Massive post year 2 of the Division. The game is wonderfully atmospheric and post green poison NYC is a work of art unto itself. Part of what makes Fallout is the atmosphere, and it seems precious few companies manage atmospheric.

I really want to say CdProjekt, but I want to see how their next game turns out. If that is great, then maybe they could indeed do fallout, assuming they respected the lore and the unique feel of the universe.

Deffo particular teams under the ubisoft name. They've got some decent people which I think could do a good job.

Paradox interactive or the devs of mount and blade would be my picks, a grand strategy game in the post apocalyptic setting or just mount and blade: fallout would be great.

How long until Cap Cards and P2W BS?

Cd projekt and larian studio made 2 of the best rpg franchises that doesnt require you to pay an arm + leg for pointless dlcs. So i would pick them.

Tho they havent made a nonfantasy game yet i think. Cd projek got cyberpunk coming out soon so ill wait to see whats that gonna be like.

Theres no AAA studio i would trust that will do fallout justice st all.

I'd say 2K they made the Mafia games and they are really good. Also Rockstar they do GTA and did a great job on L.A. Noire

I guess I'll give my own two cents on my own question.

Like a bunch of other people,I would go with CD Projekt Red,but I'm saving judgement until Cyberpunk comes out. They may have made a phenomenal game in the Witcher 3,but things could have changed since than.

I'm also feeling some attraction towards Ubisoft after playing Far Cry 5. From what I heard,Ubisoft is changing and so far,I like the direction they're taking now.

I would also say 4A games(the people behind the similar in theme Metro games),but I'm also saving judgement until Metro Exodus comes out to see how they handle the open world genre.

And a fantasy that I know for damn sure will never happen is GSC Games. They made the also similar in concept STALKER franchise and I believe that they could possibly nail a much more somber and less-forgiving Fallout. However,it seems that they are focusing on Cossacks and STALKER 2 has gone the way of Half-Life 3.
