Are there any moments in any of the Fallout games you find depressing? This could be themes, dialogue, scenes, etc.

I've felt pretty bad when I hear the story of Craig Boone...

No, not really. Besides all good rpg elements and stuff that the Fallout games have, i've always thought Fallout games to be plain and somehow, tasteless, specially the dialogues.

I felt bad when I heard the Story of Yes Man. It was just a securitron just minding its business when that jerk Benny kidnapped it to be twisted into this very hideously polite robot along with his lady friend.

Jokes aside there is a lot of depressing stories in this game but the one that comes to mind is the story of the Miller Family that you can find in Big John's Salvage. I just feel bad when I see stories about tragedy and families.

Depressing moment? Hahahah....hah....that moment when you got kicked out PERMANENTLY from Vault 101. Wow after I came to the rescue, resolved your shit for you, and this is the thanks I get? Y'all deserve a mini nuke.

Fallout 1 ending was very sad and depressing.

I just finished the far harbor dlc this past weekend. After convincing Kasumi to return to her parents I had the option of stabbing her in the back and telling her parents she was a synth. Curious how it would play out, I decided to go for it. She was obviously taken by surprise and when her dad tried to kick her out I felt sad and reloaded a previous save.

+1 for the backsory of the vault 11, people could have been save if they would act together for their freedom.

But the most depressing or frustrating moment was for me the meet with Kellogg. I expected a great battle not to kill him with just three critical hits...

I wouldn't say depressing, but more like unsettling.

Vault 11 was a great choice, but if I had to pick something else, that's one of my favourite places from Fallout 3: Vault 112. Imagine one guy controlling bunch of guys in virtual reality and for the inhabitants it's reality. He can do anything with them, evil things out of boredom and then just reset the world like nothing ever happened.

One guy with a god complex who takes total control in someone's mind is utterly creepy and unsettling. Though, it's "somewhat reality" when we think present day human masses, like Justin Bieber fans hehe.

Mr.House and his obsession with the Strip. It's admirable but it's kinda depressing how he's trying to hold up the damn place and then there's some of you couriers out there just went in gun blazing or side with the NCR or Legions and destroy everything he spent hundreds of years on.

That’s a good one. It was kinda creepy finding out the dude was a corpse hanging on for dear life.

And I'm beset by hovering, long downloads and also game crashes I'm just ready to take an ax and destroy my computer.

Opening those phone booth nuke shelters in f04 to see a skeleton and realizing that someone had to stay in there till they died, or risk going out and having to deal with the radiation.

The same as in Fallout 3. That kind of sad side story.

When I had to choose between ED-E or killing NCR/Legion in Lonesome Road. See, in the short time I had with the ED-E duplicate, I felt an actual connection, ya know? But if I had to choose between killing hundreds of thousands of NCR citizens or sacrificing ED-E, I would sacrifice ED-E over the NCR any day but its still depressing knowing he never completed his mission, ya know? But if it was only Legion, I wouldn't give two shits, cause a good legionnaire/supporter/citizen is a dead one. Better dead than red. But yeah, that was depressing for me. But the second most depressing moment was realizing that Shaun from Fallout 4 wasn't a baby still but an old man and that WE were actually younger than him and we were unfortunately over 60 years late. And our spouse had been dead for 60 years.
