I'm a newbie modder and i'm looking for mods to remaster my FNV game. I've heard and seen that certain body upgrade mods can help upgrade the experience of the game and allow for other great mods to be installed.

Should I bother using any body mods while modding FNV? (especially to help certain really good mods. Mayber some of Drag's mods?)

If so should I get breeze or robert's male bodies?

Should I bother upgrading the female bodies with "dimonized type 3 body" and "mojave delight" or another type of female body mod?

I would have to say No. I have never had a mod that required body mods. If i were you i would look at the body mods and make a list of mods you're going to use and see if you need/want them. My personal mod list was made to remaster New Vegas and i didn't use any body mods. Hope That Helps.

I can't say too much for female body replacers as I don't actually use them, but if you want the male bodies taken care of I personally use this mod

High-res retexture for both vanilla male body and I do believe there is one for Breeze's included as well.

Dragbody's armor packs and enhanced factions usually require BREEZE body. However, vanilla body patches are sometimes provided.
Personally I prefer Robert body, but I do not use it because it has a poor compatibility.
That said, body mods are not essential for your game, except if you plan to play an exhibitionist character =)
Concerning female bodies, T6M is great. Armors are modified as well.
Check out T6M Equipment Replacer NV by Izumiko.

If you really want to "remaster" New Vegas, then yeah get body replacers. Now as for which is better...I go for Breeze simple because it has better compatibility with armor mods. Every time I go and install Breeze, I also install this texture replacer in order to make it look really good:

Its the High Resolution Male Body Textures by dragbody. Its an amazing mod that gives Breeze the facelift it deserves. The best armor replacers are from dragbody. You really wouldn't find a better replacer than what he's created. Here's my list of armor mods that you may find useful.

1. ADAM Reborn (always use Mika999's mods along with this mod)
2. aMidianBook of Water (for the BoS Power Armors, Combat Armors)
3. The Gruntening - 2K Combat Armor Textures (can be used with Book of Water)
4. Caesar's New Regime (if you don't have access to Legion Will Ryse)
5. Wasteland Clothing HiRes

Its a really basic list. I didn't list other armor mods because it might get too overwhelming.

Out of curiosity for my own install, which texture mod would you recommend for female characters? Is there anything comparable to High Resolution Male Body Textures by dragbody?

Well for the female body's, I don't know about T6M because I wanted to get some texture reo's on the cloths and idk if that would be compatible with T6M.

I don't usually get into the whole body replacer thing too extensively, but they are usually worth it. It gives you something new and better to look at.

I would guess FCO would be compatible, just make sure any of Dragbody's replacers go after FCO in the load order so Dragbody's stuff overwrites any changes FCO makes. Since both will be using different races you will get DB's race on NPCs he changes and FCO races on NPCs that are not changed by Dragbody.

With regards to body replacers i'm unsure. I know that some of the races Dragbody made have custom body textures for tatoos and the like but they might be implemented in such a way that people using those races will simply have the body mod he used while people that don't would have the body from the replacer. If they are not them it would for sure be incompatible and you would get broken textures.

I will say body mods are more of a personal use, many of them don't really change the general physique like the one found in FO4 as an example that allows you to go from skinny to obese or muscleman.

I will say most of the mods are re-textures to the skin texture to make them look better for aesthetics. but check FCO or any mod that overhauls the looks of the characters... Breezy bodies is also an option if you want more reveling underwear I guess...

End point, try a couple and see how it goes for your personal use, I'm mostly a vanillaish player so don't take my answer as final lol

However if you're tired of the same old plain outfits and want some of Drag's packs then get Breeze's AIO mod coupled with his retexture that is linked above by @Chinpoko117
Then get either Type3M or T6M for females.
I'll give you a few suggestions for each choice.

For vanilla bodies grab "Vanilla body seams fixed" and "Vanilla Underwear Replacer" and that's pretty much it.

Now for Type3M, get "Female Raider Skin for Type 3" for more immersive raiders, "BEWARE OF GIRL Type 3 HiRez HiDetailed Replacer" for HD textures, "Inked For Type 3" if you want some tattoos. And then Mojave Delight and its addons. (You install these after you install Type3M and all of its patches, which can be a hassle so shoot me a PM for an all in one file)

For T6M, grab all of Izumiko's mods. Yup, all of them and install them. Then "T6M Various Conversions" which fixes some seams, not all so go ahead and download "BNB T6M Arm Seam Gaps Fixed" & "BNB T6M Unique Item's Gap Fixed", if you want the armors to be a bit more lore friendly and realistic check out "T6M Equipment Replacer NV (Deskimpified)" and voila!

Something that i feel is still missing on Youtube both for New Vegas and for a bunch of other Bethesda games are videos just comparing different options like body mods, retextures and even gameplay overhauls to help people decide which fits their game better.

I am not familiar with a "Vanilla body seams fixed" for FNV/FO3 is there a link to it somewhere?

Until now, this matter was not really important because female bodies in drags overhaul were not exposed. But with the coming raider overhaul, dragbody will have to make a choice. We will know then. I use T6M for a long time and as far I can see there is no obvious incompatibilities with the new armors. Vanilla and type 3 will work too I think.

@Prosp3ro I've made a modification of robert body that make it fully compatible with breeze textures. I'm just waiting validation from nivea to release it.

@Tyls It would be great indeed! But with the High Resolution Male Body Textures mod, Breeze's body has definitely the upper hand...
