The world plays tricks on us all,
Whether we rise
Or whether we fall.
Whenever you find a good heart, take another,
Because in the end
All we have is each other.
Some days your hearts will feel unreal
But one day you’ll realize
That’s better than not being able to feel.

And I’ve always felt like an idiot.
Like an idiot.
Every move is a mistake,
I just make mistakes.
I Push everyone away.
I just run away.
I don’t want to run away.

Some things can only be learned,
and they can’t be taught.
When your past has burned,
You’ll see the future you bought.
Every step we take is a choice,
We choose to go on living,
We choose to use our voice.
Because life is like a song from a bird
Just because it ends
Doesn't mean it’s not heard.

And I’ve always felt like and idiot.
Like an idiot.
Better to shut my mouth,
Better to not reach out.
Better to turn away,
Better to hide the pain.
Better to not say a thing,
Better to cut my strings,
Better than to watch them burn.
I don’t want to watch them burn.

It’s a wicked lesson,
But one you gotta listen to.
It’s one that will answer all your questions,
But not tell you what you have to do.
Because, in end, what we find,
No matter what we’re going through,
All we can do is just be kind.
Hope for those of like mind,

Because in the end it's a choice
And this one’s up to you.

And I’ve always felt like an idiot.

All I see is my flaws,
All the people I’ve wronged,
All the sad, sad songs.
A story going on too long.
A boy that’s too headstrong.
A boy that’s too withdrawn.
A boy that can’t go on.
And I don’t want
To be
An idiot.
