Bethesda? Using a newer/better engine?
what she said. :3 And, I don't really care where its located. Cause honestly, 3/4 the time you cant tell where your predetermined location is. Seriously its a wasteland? I could easily take a screenshot of Fallout 3s megatown and be like yea its in Canada. and someone who wouldn't know better would probably believe me. Where i would like it to be? Russia For obviously reasons <_< lol Or somewhere like New york. Tall buildings, metros, etc etc Not to mention the amount of destruction of those tall fallen buildings falling down would cause?[/quote] _________________ I came here to make house mods and chew bubble gum... | At this point in leaning towards 3 locals. My first General idea is the commonwealth, which is mentioned in both games and seems like a rather good place to move the new fallout two.The 2nd being California, i always felt they would eventually go back to cali, with the NCR and BoS fighting it makes for a good fallout 3 style story line. Lastly somewhere on the southern east coast(this is mainly just wishful thinking tbh(SC wooo) But i think local isnt nearly as important as the story of the game, Bethesda all ways makes a good story so there is is little to fear there. |

| Russia would be pretty cool, right? Maybe if the NCR were stationed out there, they'd shut up about a Nuclear Winter. On a serious note, Russia would be a terrifyingly awesome place to be. It would give off that horror-oriented, dark, and gritty touch providing a whole new way to see what the world really became after the Great War. _________________ "Don't know really."

| For the new location for fallout 4 I want to see Chicago. It known as the last enclave outpost and has lots of ideas that Bethesda can expand on. Imagine this but post apocalyptic. - Spoiler:

| I think that the next Fallout should be set in another country. I have always wondered if there is another country that got hit worse than America. |

| Probably, would be interesting to see Fallout from the Chinese perspective, but I'd like to see it set somewhere with more variety to it, like Canada, which was annexed by the US during the Great War. _________________ |

| Another location would be interesting. But I like what they initial had in mind, which was at Boston. |

| It would be awesome if it was in England. The only reason I say this is that the mod Strangers Abroad had a character that was from England, and the stories he told were very lore friendly and seemed really, really cool to be able to experience. Too bad the mod author stopped chapter 4 from happening. RIP Strangers Abroad _________________ |

| I'm from Michigan, and personally I think for a sandbox map the upper peninsula would be awesome. Imagine exploring abandoned salt mines and vaults, they could also throw some military and sci-fi in the mix because in the lore the US annexed Canada, so it would be interesting to see some scientific research centers similar to Big Mt. or some military bases similar to the Oil Rig, with Windsor, Toronto, and Detroit being dlc areas. Since Michigan is more northern Mid-West, there would be no brotherhood or enclave. If anything you'd see the brotherhood from Chicago in tactics or have a companion who previously was a member. Just a thought |

| I think Detroit would be pretty cool. The motor city of the US, there could be alot of factory/city based settlements, and alot of building that looked patched together out of various types of cars. The pollution could be everywhere and anytime you journey into the city parts, you'd have to make sure you have alot of rad-away and gas masks.
You could implement different seasons too, like a summer of course, but then add snow, and blizzards that coat the place. _________________ Just a simple man trying to make my way across the universe

| I think a swamp or a snow setting would be the best, I bet the mutated creatures could be even more terrifying in those settings too. _________________ |

| The problem I have with leaving the US for Fallout is that the game would have to lose some of it's defining characteristics, the Vaults for instance were an American only enterprise and what would Fallout be without the Vaults or Vault-Tec? Not only that but the whole concept of Fallout is to explore the remnants of a society based off of American Post-war culture. so many apects of the franchise that we hold so dear would be missing if the game went overseas would be gone, Nuka-Cola, Vaults, Robco, and the iconic Swing music in the game all American. Fallout is what happened to post war America not the rest of the world. Though a spinoff of Fallout somewhere else would be interesting I don't think they should ever leave the US for the main series. That being said, Canada is the only other place that might be an exception (granted within that universe Canada WAS a part of the US) I really do like the idea of it being set in Boston with a feel similar to that of Fo3 but on a much larger scale (and we get to see the Institute)

| I would like to see fallout 4 take place in Boston and Manhattan. first you start out in a fallout shelter in Boston the your quest would be to make it to Manhattan then make it to the top of the empire state building to escape. |

| Kind of tired of hearing about the east/west coast if you know what I mean with it already being at the edges. I'd prefer it to be one of those unfamous states like Kansas/Ohio or something, hell I want to see if how much the rest of the world was effected not just the U.S at the same time though. Considering I'd read those little news papers or notes on the computers about what happened before with U.S and China nuking each other plus I think if not correct me the rest of the world. If not the rest then screw it, China then even though I doubt it'll happen mostly due to Fallout's universe being based around the post-war of America itself. One can hope I suppose. |

| Hm, when it comes to the next location of Fallout. i'd like to be somewhere that has either a lot more open space, or open water. I would say New Jersey and New York, some opened up areas. but with a lot of interior exploration.
I would really hope for vehicle support. Fallout 2 had a "car" you could use to fast travel (if i remember correctly) and i think Fallout should have a vehicle like system again. even if it was to go inbetween two major areas, it could involve a minigame that requires you to drive between the two agreas.
I found new vegas too open and Fallout 3 a little too dependant on interior exploration. Not that these are bad, Just New vegas felt too devoid of life at times, (un modded) and Fallout 3 was too busy at times. Either way, i hope for an amazing Fallout 4 experience that involves some new and old stuff. _________________ |

| Agree with Decker, saw rumors that it would be in Boston a while ago. I'd like to see it near the coast by sea as well. If this is so, hopefully they will add more interactions in water besides swimming, maybe killing lakelurks underwater? _________________ They don't think it be like it is, but it do.
