Anyone on here with real knowledge? |

| i do not have any real knowledge, but frankly i don't think anybody but the dev's have the knowledge. I do agree with you on the NCR territory but i would also love to see a fallout game set in Texas as it is a heavily diverse state in its landscape from rocky deserts, to forests, and swamps Texas has about got it all and would give an opportunity for Caesers Legion or the NCR to return. _________________ Lonestar shine down on my home town "Howdy" |

| No way to know right now, we can only talk about what we would want to see. For instance, I'd like to see a fallout game set in Arizona after the legion has fallen, if only to see the societal impacts of a ruler like the legion being removed from power. _________________ Be wary, or become a lonely boy. |

| Well I cannot really come up with a set place but I can come up with a setting. I'd like to see two large cities or powers similar to new vegas I suppose with large amounts of smaller villages or cities that you lead either side to fight over sort of like a rpg chess game, so quests can show dramatic choice in how armies can benefit or fault. |

| Rumors from my friends to be in Russia... that'd be nice for once. Having a change of setting from relatively comfortable weathers to a biting cold environment in Russia. Maybe then Fallout would take post-apocalyptic survival more seriously in terms of the environment alone and not just the enemies. Or anywhere that's not in America .. |

| I would like to see them explore a bit more lore friendly places such as New Reno or maybe even a place like New York, Atlanta or Cincinnati. There are many places that the had been affected after the bombs had fell and it would be nice to see what happens in those places |

| I'd like a Fallout which isn't in the US. I want to see how the other part of the world is doing, especially countries like Russia or maybe even Europe. Maybe Vault-Tec had some subsidiarys in other countries. These settings would definitely bring another nice touch into the game.
For a place in the U.S. some 'tropic' place like Florida would definitely be cool. Or maybe the Nuclear Winter in Alaska (with more references to Anchorage etc.). _________________ Nuka Cola. Nuka Cola never changes. |

| While seeing some of the southern states would be something incredibly interesting to see, especially with all of the possibilities for new enemies and factions, i would really love them to go back to the Midwest. Fallout Tactics was the only game to take place there and i think seeing a modern Fallout title set in that region would be fantastic. _________________ This is War, Survival is Your Responsibility. |

| People keep saying that they'd like for Fallout to go somewhere either than America but here's the thing: Its almost certainly not going to happen.
For one, We don't know that any of the rest of the world survived, china is almost explicitly stated to be destroyed to a point where no form of civilization thrives there in FO1, 2, and tactics (I know tactics isn't canon but this particular bit is reinforced BY canon.) Allies across the globe would have participated in nuclear warfare meaning mutually assured destruction across the globe. In fact, the reason America has any settlements whatsoever is because of the Vaults built by vault tec, which was an American company that would only build vaults in America.
Ghouls were created by the bombs in America so reason would then state that ghouls would exist everywhere, but then they're numbers are limited and really there's no telling how long they survive until going feral and there's no way a society can thrive off of ferals.
Finally, it wouldn't work story wise. The Fallout games are all slightly different but one of the constants is the theme of a defective government. At the time of the great war the American government was pushing out major propaganda that showed them off as the land of the free, where everyone was welcome and no official could make a mistake. Ironically (and that's sort of the point) America was borderline fascist. The point of Fallout is to show that being an aggressive and "pioneering" society built off of the "its us or them" mentality will only lead to the degradation of society. Nowhere on earth would be as effective at communicating this as America. _________________ Be wary, or become a lonely boy. |

| Probably the best setting if we kept the series American would be West Coast.
Northern California and Southern Oregon?
I believe the majority of the NCR resides in Southern California and Nevada, bringing the game to the NorCal would still allow the player to visit NCR territories. While also bringing in Oregon, this gives the player a chance to experience a small bit of the pacific NW which I believe no fallout game has accurately described. | Honestly saying I don't know much of American locations but I do think Texas would make a great choice, Louisiana would make for a interesting location though would be close to Far Harbor and Point Look Out. I wouldn't mind seeing Pennsylvania either so we could visit Centralia, hopefully Konami wouldn't start complaining then. As for what happened to Europe and fallout taking place there. We had a great discussion about it awhile back https://www.gunetwork.org/t12301-what-ever-happened-to-europe |

| I really do hope that it's somewhere with a fair share of historical context. What I love about FO3 and FO4 is the nods to the American Revolutionary War and The Founding Fathers of the US, that the many factions we know and love come to symbolise. So many little details within a huge game that make it meaningful to the player.
My guess is that the next Bethesda Fallout game would probably be in New York, at least that what I hope. Could be similar to the Capital Wasteland. |

| Honestly idc where the location of Fallout 5 is as long as the BOS and NCR are in the game. And i'm hoping they're at war with each other cause that sounds like it would be a fun Fallout. Two big faction going at each other. |

| Personally, I don't think the location really matters...even if they made it in my hometown...it isn't like I'd be able to visit my street and take a stroll down memory lane...although if they were able to recreate anywhere to that level of detail...that would be impressive. I'm not concerned with WHERE...but more curious about WHEN...now that would be quite interesting. I would like to go well into the future when a government is on the brink of reforming and the point of the character is to help shape that new government. _________________ |

| More recently I've wanted a Fallout set in China which explores what happened to the opposite side after the war. Not really true to "Fallout," I know, it being chiefly American and all. Still an interesting PoV, though; a ripe new world full of brand new factions, ideas and locations just waiting to be plundered. Imagine!
Other than that, however, I've had my mind set on a Fallout game set in the southern region of the United States. Primarily Louisiana. In addition, a Fallout set in either Maine or Wisconsin would be pretty interesting to me. _________________ |

Really loved the Chinese DLC in FO3. Maybe in a snowy area too? That could be two new things that would be cool and innovative. |
