| If a fallout MMO were to come out what do you think it would need to do to be successful? Where would you wan't it to take place? What kind of features would you wanna see in it? I was thinking about TES:Online and how much of a disaster that was when coming up with this topic. Also would you be okay with fallout becoming an mmo?
For me I think cars and a player home system would be great in it. Maybe the raids/dungeons could be you and some friends attacking a raider/bandit camp with a boss at the end? It would need a proper grouping system as well, One that actually works unlike Elder scrolls online. (at least my experience with it) It would need a huge map to fit a decent amount of players and you could take a role as legion or ncr or brother hood enclave etc.
The pvp could be faction wars. Maybe you could build your own custom car and take it into pvp?
So what do you guys think? I'd love to hear some opinions.
Edit: you start out as a survivor and as you go on you can join factions or just level up neutrally would be a good idea I think _________________ |

| I think if they did it at the right time and got a competent company to develop it, It could work out in the future. It doesn't necessarily have to be anytime soon you can't know for sure it'll fail till the time comes. I think the next fallout out should definitely be a single player RPG but the idea of scavenging a wasteland with friends is amazing to me since there is not really any survival mmos out depending on how you fell about dayz whitch  is a running simulator to me.
Edit In my opinion fallen earth isn't that good either if that game is still around. _________________ |

| I think the biggest problem would be that you can't mod a game like that, since everybody doesn't have the same mods. But who knows, it could be great if they did it right, blackember 0's idea of joining factions sounds awesome. _________________ |

| The ESO MMO failed horribly, All kinds of bugs glitches that just made the game unplayable. It's what inspired this topic. Even tho I didn't get too many replies >.> _________________ |

| Okay, Lets say Bethesda has their shit together fallout 4 had been released it and it was a huge success. Than years later they get a competent company who's made mmo's before to develop it. By this time I think they would have the resources to make some kind op Co-op or online Fallout game. I'm not saying it would be good but i'd give it a chance!! lol _________________ |

| Let's say Bethesda becomes a pro at making MMO and Fallout MMO is a bug-free. If that happens, only then it would play it and give it a try. _________________ |

I think Joe hit the nail on the head. Bethesda games are all about you being a hero, being the LONE wanderer or THE Champion of Cyrodil or the LAST Dovahkiin. It's not a system that lends itself well to having multiple equal level protagonists, as the ES MMO showed us sadly. I think the Borderlands style is the best way to go. You have one main character who is playing their game and questline, and their buddies can jump in to assist as "companions" just like Veronica or Boone. Enemies could get harder and loot better, but ultimately the companions are just tagalongs. They can explore, clear, fight, and barter, but the person moving the story along is the main player. Thoughts? |

| Well the only Fallout MMO that is out there is FOnline 2238, based on Fallout 1 & 2. Sadly they shut down, but at least there is an SDK, so people are able to make their own 2D Fallout game, either singleplayer or a full blown MMO, without any limitations.
Anyways, I think it would be best if Bethesda didn't make an MMO, unless they get better at it. The only way that this could work is if Fallout/Elder Scrolls were Co-op instead. |

| Please no... The Wasteland is desolate and unpopulated... except for millions of badasses who are mostly 12 years old. _________________ Not exactly what you'd call... "appropriate".

| A Fallout MMO would never be successful. Why? Because we can't have a wasteland full of players running around. And that would ruin every single experiences you have on your adventures, try to explore somewhere and find a bunch of players standing in there, I mean, c'mon. |

| I don't think it would be a good idea. I mean, it's supposed to be a post-apocalyptic wasteland, just the thought of a bunch of players wandering around a town like Goodsprings would make me think "this isn't Fallout". It's that lifeless and desolate feeling that gives it a part of it's character. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qW9fdki5k1s The concepts are somewhat similar, but The Division's theme is because of a virus. Fallout is because of the nuclear weapons. Just sayin' no hate. |

| I think it would be better if servers were split up to like 4-15 players each with multiple servers but at the same time modding and the idea that you are the main character would disappear then it wouldn't really be a Fallout game anymore. Some games are meant to be played as a mmo and others aren't. In my opinion the Fallout & Elder Scrolls Series shouldn't be a mmo. _________________ It's always getting better if you make it better. - My Achievements:
