| I haven't played either too much however they are fun. They are not anything at all like playing the other ones at least from a game play perspective. For sure give them a shot though. _________________ |

| Yes. It's worth playing them. At first, I wasn't interested in it. When I completed New Vegas, for the 150th time, I thought about going back to the beginning and played Fallout 1. Holy crap, it's a great game. I've had more fun in the 27 hours I've played the game than the hundred hours of Fallout 3 and 4. The story is great and building up your character, with the help of the companions you can find, is so much fun. For a 20 year old game, it's great, far better than these boring AAA titles like Destiny. It is different than the new Fallout games, mainly the gameplay. But the story, the world, characters and enemies feel much like a Fallout game. Perhaps if you enjoy more of Bethesda's style of Fallout, you may not like them. If you like Obsidian's take on New Vegas, give these games ago since a few people at Obsidian made these two. |

| Fallout 2's early game is just incredibly hard compared to Fallout 1.Fallout 1 had a difficulty hill. It starts easy, gets difficult towards the middle, and is somewhat medium difficulty towards the end.Fallout 2 has difficulty walls. For the first five minutes, it's easy, but all of a sudden BAM: Difficulty spike. Then a good chunk of the game is super hard but then all of a sudden the difficulty plummets into ridiculously easy but incredibly tedious territory, and then ends off with a boss fight that's an absolute pain in the ass.To borrow from SomecallmeJohnny, imagine Fallout 1 is a comfortable stroll through the park on your way home. Fallout 2 is getting to the end of your walk and discovering your house is right behind the incomparable Mount Sonofabitch. You've got to make that pain in the ass climb to the top, but once you're up there, it's all downhill from there, until you realize that you dropped your keys somewhere and you have to kick in the door.

| if you like getting hit by the enemy with a rocket launcher at the start and not being able to duck or dodge it it's your game if you don't like artificially inflated difficultly I wouldn't bother with the shit game if you want a real actual difficult game I would get dark souls. _________________ "Human Scum!" |

| Personally I would say that it's definitely worth it to play through those two games, but it all depends on what kind of games you are into. If you never tried any isometric game, give classic Fallout a chance. It's not about difficulty, it's all about gameplay, game mechanics and atmosphere. Fallout lore is really interesting, I think that Fallout series does apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction the best.
Fallout 1 and 2 can be hard games if you try to rush them through, but I find them kind of easy. Though I'm pretty familiar with them and I know how things work, Fallout 2 is one of my favourite games too. And if you decide to play Fallout 2, I can recommend Killap's restoration project, which adds all the missing content and some extra content as well. |

| It could be serious Nostalgia talking but yes I absolutely recommend putting the time in for the games @paradoxwing I was so heavy into those games that I really got into mods and map editing back during the, No Mutants Allowed, days. They have the atmosphere that the Fallout reboots should've had. Fallout 4 strayed very far from that. It's dark, it's gritty, and it's a total meat grinder |

| I would defiantly say give it a shot. The games a practically free now so there is not really much harm in giving it a try. _________________ |

| If you are looking for a good RPG game with a unique game mechanics, uninterrupted atmosphere and storyline FO1 and FO2 are "must have" for every post-apocalyptic fan of the world. In old fallouts I like everything except the combat system, boring and repetitive imo, but the rest of the game is still cool _________________ |

| I say its worth playing mostly because they are the classics, and plus I was always too young to play them up until I was like 15. It give you a nice appreciations for games made in the 90's _________________ What do you mean another settlement needs my help?

| I'd absolutely recommend Fallout 1. It's one of the greatest games ever made, easily. Fallout 2... well, tbh, it's probably better you just read up on anything you want to know by reading it on The Vault or Nukapedia. Fallout 2 is a pain in the ass for it's balance (or lack thereof), and it tries terribly, terribly hard to be incredibly funny, but it does so primarily by making pop culture references, which are tied with sarcasm as being the least witty form of humour. Where Fallout 1 builds a thick, lonely, contemplative atmosphere with its visuals, music, and certainly its story, Fallout 2 tries to do the same, but allows itself to be forced back to square 1 every few minutes because some stupid joke completely tossed you out of the experience. And it's main plot is not even remotely as interesting as the original's. It's very bog-standard, truth be told. Even Chris Avellone has stated that he rather regrets writing Fallout 2 like he did, and thinks Fallout 1 and Lonesome Road have the right tone for Fallout. |

| You should definitely give them a play through. If only because it makes so many of the references in the later games (particularly New Vegas) so much more satisfying.
Also they both have amazing stories. In fact, 2 is still touted as having the best Story and villains, so I think you should at least give it a spin to see why. _________________ Muwahahahahahahaha!!!What do you mean evil laugh!? This is how I always laugh! - Bow Down:

| Yes, absolutely! I wouldn't say the gameplay holds up (the games are, after all, 20 years old) but the story and character development they bring are just remarkable. As they told you before, 2 is significantly harder, but it can still be completed without THAT much of a hassle. Be sure to get the big mods for each (FIXT for the original and Restoration Project for F2) as they add a ton of bugfixes and restore cut content. Have fun! _________________ It's letting go? |

| Oh, you that this is a masterpiece of that time, of course you have to play and feel the fallout that excites my mind, of course at first it will be difficult to master but then everything will go smoothly like an ass of an infant.

| I can only recommend Fallout 1&2, the writing and the humor combined with the believable characters, world and what is in my opinion the best soundtrack in the fallout franchise, makes thes games more than worth it. |
