Hey guys, I recently wanted to install a few mods by MAIBATSU. Many of you probably associate the great modifications of weapons, especially in Fallout New Vegas. However, going to the point go into a page Nexus, seeking his mods and I find absolutely nothing, only the information that the file is not found in a database. I am very saddened by this fact, because even I do not know why so great mods have been removed from the site. If anyone of you is better informed and knows why it happened let him write in this topic. Once again, greetings to all.

Nexus is the cancer. Good thing i have all of his weapon mods saved haha

I found this out the other day when i was looking for his AAS shotgun and his Lewis MG

I have not seen them anywhere else, very glad, I had got the merged one when it came out but I see he is still active on nexus just mods are gone.

I think you can find them on modgames.net. It's in Russian though.

I think, that Millenia`s ass got on fire again, during his "star-decease". Although he is a jerk - in a nature. Master Shifu would agree, i hope.

Год назад я переписывался с MAIBATSU. Он говорит что Millenia сложный человек и в период приступов ЧСВ выписывает билеты в баню направо и налево.

Most likely MAIBATSU at loggerheads with Millenia and deleted own mods.

Maibatsu was at first using Millenia's environmental map without crediting or asking him for permission, so Millenia pointed that, and politely asked for a credit. From then on Maibatsu always credited him, and there was no problem. This happened almost two years ago. That's why I'm not sure Millenia had anything to do with it since he also gave advice sometimes on what Maibatsu could improve. And I don't really believe this ''star decease'' crap Major_Tumanov mentioned because Millenia is doing fine at an actual gaming development studio, and hardly cares or has any time for modding like he used to have.

Well, you say it was a crap, and i say, that if i remember right - some of the russian modders offered him to cooperate. Bu he`s started to cuss them out (fuggin stealerz!1!1! U CANT TO DO ANYFING YORZELF!1!spudro spädre). He`s kinda obbsessed with copyright, yes sir.

I just thought couldn't someone reupload MAIBATSUs weapons to someplace like here or modgames?

@Major_Tumanov So what if he's obsessed with copyright? His work has been often blatantly stolen for use in other mods without permission.
I don't see his denial of cooperation and being angry on them as something that would cause his ''star decease'' or the opposite. And I don't actually believe he regards them as competition in modding, because - as I said - he has a regular job at a game development studio, and modding hasn't been his priority for while now.

Also, were those modders clean or did he maybe accuse them without any reason? The answer to that question should reveal a lot, yes sir?

@Moderators, please forgive me for the thread necromancy - it just didn't make much sense to create a new topic when this one was here. My post is pertinent to a mod I'm making too...

I'm working on - you guessed it - Mallory again after going on a long hiatus because of no show voice actors. Very early in the development on this mod, MAIBATSU gave me permission to use the assets for his Winchester M1912 Trench Gun in order to create a unique weapon for Mallory - seen here:

However, I do not recall any mention by MAIBATSU himself nor the in the mod description for his Trench Gun whether or not he used assets from other mod authors such as millenia. Though, I do see a cubemap file named Xoliul Shader_e.dds which is identical to GHDesert2_e.dds from Millenia's WotNM contained in the assets he sent me years back.

Cubemaps can be easily replaced, but I would like to know if MAIBATSU used any other assets not his own so that I'm not inadvertently using things without permission. I've tried to contact MAIBATSU again, but he's not reading messages anymore it seems.

Does anyone know anymore about what transpired and caused him to remove his mods?

i hope the weapons doom ported from maibatsu for FO4 dont get deleted as well

MAIBATSU had pretty good work, although it was pretty devouring performance. Strange of course that he disappeared dramatically, but the main thing is that some craftsmen managed to pull out almost all of his work, and save separately (although certainly not without closing eyes on copyrights).
P.S. There are no works on Modgames, but probably most of them I found on All-Mods.

@TheHermit All I know is that Millenia discovered he really had used that cubemap file without his permission, and pointed this out in the Nexus comments, saying Maibatsu could have at least credited him. From that point on, Maibatsu did always credit him, so there was no issue. But M's disappearance is a mistery, and will probably stay that way because I never saw him communicate publicly with anyone (even with Millenia when he gave advice on how to improve his work), and found him to be a mysterious person; it's surprising to me you actually had a word with him once, though privately, I'm guessing.

I still have his trenchgun, it's a really handy piece of weaponry, super high quality too. If you do end up releasing it, will it have the same sounds? I would love for this to be in my game, it looks awesome.

Surprising to me as well. I contacted him back in May of 2015 via NexusMods private message. I explained that I was working on a companion mod and wanted a new unique weapon
and requested permission to use the Winchester M1897 - Trench Gun (models and textures), give it a new custom paint job etc, so long as I credit him, etc.

He replied less than 15 minutes later with:

Bit off topic... but yes, the weapon will be included and have the same sounds as before, but the paint job will be different, obviously, and only Mallory will be able to use it. It's her weapon after all. Not yours
Of course, if you know a little bit about meshes/textures, you can extract them from the mod and make a new plugin for yourself so that it'll be a playable weapon for your character.
